And that means, uh, I haven't started writing again yet.  However, since this was my final year, and the program I'm in had a requirement to graduate of a 1-hour recital...  I thought some here might be interested in hearing the sort of thing I actually play, and enjoy playing.  I'm not sure of this belongs here, since the only one I'm posting is one I didn't write, I just played it.  But regardless...  possible public interest?  And a desire to share my one and only skill of sorts.

Went to college for music, my primary instrument piano, of the jazz-ish/non-classical variety.

This is 'Deja Que Siga Solo', written by Martha Valdes.

The amount of rehearsal we had for this was approximately this:
Bass, you've got 8 bars to yourself to play with at the top.  Then I'll come in, play for a while - don't know how long -  and we'll tag the final cadence until whenever.  Think 'beatnik', or something along those lines.  I'm going from memory.  See you at the coda.

I did play some I wrote, but I'm not willing to post them as of yet.  Waiting on a different recording.
Recorded April 19, 2008.

I have another project to write for, but I don't know if any of it will be worth posting, or if I'll be able to post any of it.

Hmph. This is the second time I've looked at this topic, and I'm still at work where I can't listen to it. I'll make a point of listening to it later this evening after my traveller game. :3 I'm all for the performance / musical arts. Woo! (I've got a performance ARCT in piano, but I've never really done anything with it for the longest time, so I definitely feel for the performers out there. Cheesy)

That is supremely cool. Very good listening.  Cheesy Reminds me of things my older brother and his friends did/do.. (He lives in Toronto now so I don't get to see what they're up to as much anymore) [He's a classical composer, but is involved in all kinds of music]
