Well, I've been trying to get involved with more furry forums, so logically I came accross this!

I'm 18 years old, (legal where i live, so yay!), been part of the furry fandom for oh.... 2 ish years?

See, I had a friend who decided to trick me into joining the fandom without making it obvious. She drew her character ( a raccoon ) in class while i sat beside her and admired her drawing skills. Eventually I said "draw me as a furry" "Okay, what do you want to be drawn as?" "hrm... a kitty!"

Because of this, my original character was an orange cat. That was before I had any creativity. People say i have a lot of cat-like instincts, but my personality is that of a squirrel. So upon researching squirrels and their "personalities" I agreed and came up with my character, Shiko!

But here's something funny... Before i joined the fandom, I never had anything to do with art. (I was the band geek of my friends). So learning how to draw was an extremely frustrating progress.

So yeah.. That's my story. Tell me yours?

Here's my FA where most of my art is posted:

Welcome aboard!
S'good to see some new blood around here. You've caught us just as we've rebuilt the forum, of course... in case that's not been obvious. Heheh.
Enjoy the forums! We're a bit of a crazy bunch, but... what bunch of Canuck's isn't crazy... at least a little bit? Wink

See ya around!

Ahoy thar, welcome to the shiny new forums, Shiko! *hands the squirrel a towel* Here's your first official welcoming gift, an infinitely useful invention that no fur should be without (especially around these parts... Lookaround )

You've got some nice art there, +watch from me! If you're really interested my "story" can be found here.

Thanks!
Trust me, I'm used to crazy. Crazy isn't a problem, otherwise I wouldn't be furry. Tongue

I find that a lot of feline characteristics are shared by squirrels, so it's not like it's impossible for them to be mistaken as feline characteristics. Smiley
