Yes, it's that time of year again. The time that all turkies fear... It's Thanksgiving time! Happy Thanksgiving! Any turkies on the forum? Oh, and feel free to share what you feel thankful for. Or anything else that's related to the day and potentially amusing to share. Benjamin

I'm thankful for my family and friends who were able to be with me during this weekend. It was my dad's 50th birthday the weekend as well and we rented out a dance hall where our immediate family and friends were able to dance to a very good 70s cover band. I have never seen anyone cover ACDC so well...

Thanksgiving
Woke Up Went to Work at 9AM Fantasized about leaving, browsing various gaming and furry sites on the job (including this one) 12:30PM rolls around, boss treats his thanksgiving staff to Lunch. I had a berry and cream Crepe. Delicious, not very filling XD Left work at 5PM Ran home and picked up my brother Ran back to my original "nest" if you will, to see my mother. We all gathered into my mothers new car (technically MY car, i havent seen a nickle back from that $2500 investment yet) Drove to another Town where a small party was Party consists of people mostly over the age of 49. Im 22 and my brothers 15. Being the second youngest sucks. 6:23PM, i crack open a Smirnoff (mmm i lvoes me my Vodka) Dinner was strange, never wolfed down a turkey so fast before. Then again all i had was a Crepe and a Smirnoff at this point. Point to bring up, mother tried a new recipe for Yams (my FAVORITE food at Thanksgiving), they were goddamn delicious I make it a point to stop drinking after my first Vodka as i notice my mother is drinking Wine and getting a wee bit tipsy. I have a political discussion with some Conservatives, in a weird twist of fate with my limited knowledge, i converted them to NDP XD hilarious Immediately afterwards i had to deal with helping someone setup frigging PayPal on a Freewebs page (oh dear GOD freewebs) After suffering through that i manage to convince the to go to GoDaddy for a real website After 2full hours of explaining how PayPal works, and After 1 more hour of explaining how GoDaddy works 11:58 i get in the driver seat for the first time this car has been bought Drove Home Slept.
'twas good.

I'm thankful for all these holidays to give me an excuse to eat perhaps too well for a day. I swear that one of these days I'll memorize the Canadian Thanksgiving date and hence take the excuse to celebrate both. I mean, why not?

I'm sure you're close enough to the border that you can claim to be overly enticed by the scent of turkey wafting over from the northern side of it. Benjamin

Perhaps so, perhaps so... Especially some of my extended family, that live only a few miles from the border...
