The other day I threw together my first pair of ears.  Here are two pics of my brother modeling for me and one of a cushion doing the same job:

I think they're a tad small to resemble mouse ears too strongly.  Not too shabby for your first pair.  They seem to have pretty smooth seams and there's no major fur out of place.

The trouble with tiger ears specifically is that it's tough to tell that they're tiger ears unless they're accompanied with some kind of striping, or a tail.  Aside from sewing white stripes of fur onto the black, (which ends up being much more difficult), the easiest thing to accomplish that effect would be to dye in some stripes on the white band, or even just sharpie them in with a good thick black marker.

Look good, mate.  Do they fit well?

The coloring is a bit off:

Tiger ears are black, but they have a white spot on the backs of them.  However wear a stripped tail with your ears and no one will nitpick on exact authenticity.

Thanks all for the feedback.  Smiley  I know they don't look much like tiger ears.  Unfortunately I don't have anything to put the requisite white spot on the back, or I would have.  The seams are straight because I just glued them to some craft foam.  It keeps the shape really well and gives them more support.

They're adorable (and so is your brother, BTW)!

Yeah, for tigers, that white spot is a signalling device- when the ears are down in threat or anger, the spots are really obvious from the front- the other tiger seeing it will back off, or know he's in for a fight.  Tongue  Take a look at some of the smaller cats- the wilder ones- they often have a similar marking in the same place.  Some folks call them "flash-spots".

Cheers, and keep making such cute things!
