Logitech is a fairly well known name... I suggest any one with 2.0 MP or more after that its really just style and preference

Hey Tamaska, I think you're shooting for super high quality there. Anything that's 1.5 or about there is fine. You want people to see you, and you want it done clearly, correct? Something like this will do fine: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10075361&catid=Don't worry hun, you don't need those high-end expensive cams. Things like the ones i showed you will do fine. If you're very concerned, look up review and videos on the product!

it really depends on what your using it for, but if you get anything over 2MP normally it is just overkill, simply because it takes HighRes photos doesnt mean they are good photos! Get a webcam with good focusing/lens quality rather then a super high Megapixle count. A mega pixel is 1 million pixels, or a 1000x1000 picture(Legth/width might not be the same, but just an example) So even a 1MP webcam would be WAYY more then enough for decent webcam. most of the time the quality would be limited by your internet speed anyway.

slow motion....mostlikely then you need faster internet, not a better webcam

Your internet? Well, at the minimum you would want highspeed cable I would say to get half decent webcam conversations But if your expecting picture perfect clear and fast webcam conversations then I would say dream on, that only exists in commercials and tv hehe. it could also be caused by a slow computer not being able to display the feed fast enough....but that would have to be like dinosaur of a computer to be that slow.

You don't need much resolution for a webcam when your going to be using it for things like video chat not video making (which is suitably done with a proper camera)
I have an inbuilt webcam in my laptop its framerate is choppy but thats pretty much how it works. your streaming video with it not recording so its sensible it be slowed a bit so its not overloading the network and saves bandwidth inuploading and receiving and such so its slower.

I Agree and i have a similer model of that particular camera mentioned above, it works Great! but i wouldent expect HD out of them....

Yeah, you may get HD Resolution out of them...but that doesn't mean they wont be blurry at all, My phone has a 2mp camera, but I keep it on 1mp because the photos look exactly the same, the 2mp just looks like a stretched version of the 1mp
