Nope, Win2KP... but acts quite the same considering that the hardware on this system is prolly about 8 years old.

Windows 2K is still the best one to date. Fast, stable, and simple. Exactly what Windows was supposed to be. It's interesting that, ten years on, we have a creature like Windows 7 or Vista which, by all measures, is leaps and bounds more friendly and pleasing to look at than 2K was, and yet we have record numbers of people who don't know what they're doing.

This thread is useless without pics. So being that as it may:

I lifted that from the Windows 7 RC. Some excellent wallpapers in there.

Yeah, but i've been dealing with memory-related BSODs, the cpu maxes and crashes my browsers and defragging the HD on a day-by-day basis. It's annoying, to say the least.

Crappy deal. Hard to say whether your BSOD is hardware or software related though. Or just throw Linux (Xubuntu specifically) on there. As much as I admire Win 2K, trying to use it with modern web browsers and other things is probably going to cause it to freak out. Hope you get it all worked out.

don't mean to go off topic but since your cpu is maxing and crashing your browser it is probably software and you need a reformat. But if you burn memtest to a disk and boot from it that will tell you if your memory is working properly.

*has no idea how to do that*

Besides, i've learned my lesson in the past NOT to attempt anything with a computer as i'm liable to mess it up more.

Unable to comply, with the fact that I change my desktop almost every few days. I get one, then I get bored with it, so I change it. Unfortunately, I have no furry desktops; everything is automotive related. C'est la vie.

Well, time to change it again. Let's try a 1957 Lincoln...

Nice! I love fifties cars! Roadmasters <3

But, I don't have any furry desktops either, and yes. It's a Mass Effect desktop. And yes it needs serious cleaning.
