Hello all!

I know I don't often post around here ( or know many around here... *shy* ^^; ) but I'm currently planning to attend MFF and was wondering if anybody had any experiences or tips? It may be my first and last furry convention for a long while so I'm a bit nervous as well.

Mm... basically, I'm just wondering how other furs from Canada travel down to the US for this event deal with the logistics planning stuff. Costs, means of travel, currency exchange, what to bring, what to know, etc.?

If there's already a topic on this, please forgive me. I did a search but didn't find anything about it here.

Thanks again for your time.

I haven't been to a con in the States since the first AC back in 1997... so I'd not be much help there. Things have changed since then at the border, and seeing as I've not even been to the US for any particular reason at all in the past several years, I've no clue what to do at the border anymore. Heh.
There're a bunch of furs around here that regularly go to US furry cons though.... so hopefully someone will way in on the topic sometime soon...  Lookaround

I haven't been to MFF before, however I'm trying to attend this year.  I've been to AC and FC a few times, so its pretty much the same process.  I fly to the cons, I don't drive.  As for cash, I suggest getting some USD  at your bank before you go down.  As for dealing with customs, tell them the truth!  Tell them your attending a convention, they're going to ask you what kind, I always tell them its like a sci-fi or anthropormorphics convention, they'll ask what goes on there, and I always reply telling them there are writing panels, art, art shows etc.  Oh and be prepared to give tips in resturants down there etc, the US economy runs on tips it seems.
