Technically a cosplay event, however I have gone to a couple, once in my Ammy fursuit and once in my saber toothed lion partial.
We basically hang out, take some photos, and do whatever we feel like. If any Furs would like to join us, they would be more than welcome.
Time: Aug 30th, 11am- whenever
Location: Eau Claire; we meet near the kiddiepool (exit through the Eau Claire Mall Doors facing Prince's island park and go straight, the kiddie pool will be on your left... just behind it, there is a circular area with some grass and rocks, and a fountain on the right. We meet in that circular area.)
What: We'll be taking photos and doing fun stuff. I usually like to greet kids, and I will bring a frisbee so we can play in the park.
I know there is a stigma for furries and anime nerds not to get along, but these get-togethers are just meant for fun. As I have said, I have gone to a few of these, and been nothing but welcome. It's great fun to wave to people and give hugs to little kids. All of the cosplayers are just there to have a good time and dress up, no abuse will be tolerated. However I will warn you, most anime-cosplayers don't have much of a fursuit etiquitte... I have been glomped unexpectedly a few times because they caught me out of my field of vision.
PM me if you would like to go so I'll have an idea who to look out for. If you are afraid you won't be able to find us, let me know, I can wait just outside Eau Claire mall near the ice cream shop for you.
