I'm not sure about lionofthesun but fursuits usuall range from $250 (for just the head) - to upwards of over $3000. It really depends on where you go and what you want.

A really cheap fursuit can cost only around $100
An average can cost between $200-1000 and onwards..
I'm guessing LionOfTheSun's fursuits must cost from around $4000-$6000 maybe up to $10000
Of course, those up there ^ only apply is you get someone else to do it for you...
I don't understand the last question, but I'm guessing your asking where to buy a good priced fursuit..?
I'd recommend making your own, cause it's a hell lot cheaper, but some good sites to try are:
The Purple Bat
Matrices.net
Beastcub Creations
But I'd still recommend making your own. You can find tons of tutorials online, but I'd say the best place to find a tutorial would be Matrices.net

Lionofthesun does not cost that much... I know that for sure.

If you are going for semi-realism I'd recommend Beetlecat. www.beetlcat.ca

Sweet thanks you guys! If anyone has any more info everything is appreciated! Oh yea and im not good with a sewing machine. And most tutorials assume you are good at arts and crafts! LOL Im sure i could do something. And plus i wouldn't want my parents to find out im a furry just yet... Or ever now that i think about it! Oh yea and what about waiting times. How long did you guys have to wait for your fursuits?

I have been making payments on mine since January and I'm getting my suit in October. The only reason why I started payments so early is cause I have to make $250-$300 payments each month. The head is done (which you see in my avatar picture). I contacted beeltlecat in November of last year and was on her waitlist for this year. I was the first one she contacted. One of the main things that I like to do is to keep in contact with the fursuit maker to see how some progress is being made and just to see how their other projects are doing (so they don't get sick of you asking hows my fursuit coming? Hows my fursuit coming???) I like to do this about once a month. Usually you set the date to get your fursuit. I chose October since it'll be here in time for my birthday or halloween. Make sure to give the maker atleast 6 months to make your fursuit and never get a rush job done. Rush jobs can be good at first but the fall apart easier. Also ask your fursuit maker if there will be a fursuit care bonus in the package when you finally get your fursuit. A fursuit care bonus is always good but if they don't offer something like that, ask if they can put in a fursuit care guideline.

Tip: Always be specific in what you want. ex: A movable jaw, digitigrade legs, muscle padding.

You know the back legs of any natural animal? Like us wolves for example. Those are digitigrade legs.

Fursuit care bonuses such as a sample of the fursuit makers recommended laundry detergent, air freshener (like febreeze or something) and also a fursuit care sheet.

Any good fursuit maker will take a fursuit in for repairs as long as the repairs are not from your own recklessness. If the stitching comes undone or the glue starts to slip, I'm sure you can send it in for any neccessary repairs.

I am considering starting up a cosplay club here in Calgary in the next month or two, where we could meet and share ideas and costumes and such.  I was going to run tutorials like sewing machine 101 and pouring resin eyes and fursuit padding.  If you would like to come, or maybe just meet for fun, I can share some techniques with you.

I make my own suits.  They cost about $300-500 in materials.  I commission suits as well, but labour costs bring prices up to about $1200. which is pretty average for full fursuits.

First of all i would live to come to sewing 101 if you started that and pouring resin for eyes or w.e. And i would live to get together just to hang out so either would be great! good idea!

While Beetlecat would be the first fursuit artist I'd recommend (especially to someone in Alberta), Noble Wolf also deserves a mention. Can't say I'd recommend Lion of the Sun though, I've heard he really overcharges for inferior workmanship.

I love Lots's Lion masks, I'm not too fond of his wolves... their faces don't look quite right. His polar bears look cute though.
I couldn't see anyone shelling over the money for his pieces unless they really wanted the camera night-vision and audio sound systems he puts in them

The woman who makes the suits from Fur Happens came down to Calgary for a con 3 years ago.  She wore her Sage Mountain Lion costume, and there was fellow in the Arylah costume, and a few others. Arylah won the costume contest that year.

Depends on the complexity of the suit and the skill of the suitmaker  Usually 30-50 hours for a digitgrade suit.
My Okami costume took a long time, not because it was difficult, but because all of the swirls and accents had to be hand sewn to the costume.

I'm here too ;P

http://www.northfur.ca

Yeah, Kippo and I can make fursuits too, I'm currently working on a dragon.  Prices for a full suit usually start at 1,000$can and go up depending on details involved, padding, fur choice, materials involved, etc.

I think your first step should be to write out a detailed description of the suit you have in mind.
Name the colors, fur pile lengths, style, expression, number of toes, and any details you can think of.
