So, who watches My little Pony Friendship is Magic? And if you don't, go watch it Tongue.

I realized we need more life in this forum, and a thread all things pony should be a start XD

So discuss, do you love, hate, or think it's an alright show? Who's your favourite Main and background Characters? etc.

For me, I was didn't want to watch it, but a friend of my pushed me to watch it so I did, now I hate here for it 'cause I love the show so much XD. And for Fav main, can't pic, I like them all and none of them get on my nerves. But I think without twilight, the 'gang' wouldn't be there Tongue.

Also, with out a doubt, Doctor Whooves and Ditzy "Derpy" doo are awesome in Doctor Whooves and Assistant (my fav fanfic Tongue) XD

one last question, what's your views on the Bronies/ Pony Fandom, a sub-fandom of the Furry Fandom? or it's own stand alone Fandom? or something completly different.

I await on everypony's reply to this topic Tongue

My Faithful Student Kapitan,

There was a time I resisted the growing fad of these confounded ponies, but alas it was to no avail.

Haha, I quite enjoy the show. Well written, wonderful characters... I like cartoons in general, but with everything that has come out as of late, this show seems to be the only one that grabs my attention much like that of The Raccoon's or Talespin did when I was a wee cub.

I also quite enjoy the brony fandom. I mean, much like the furry fandom, there are parts I don't quite care for, but I just tend to steer clear of it. But I've talked with other bronies and pega-sisters (Really like that one XD) and most of them are about the same thing, which is nice.
I don't really consider the brony fandom a sub-fandom of the furry culture though. For myself, I find that being a furry runs much more deeper in myself then that of being a brony. I mean if they cancel the show, I might start a few fires and join the masses in the streets as they rip their cities apart in rage, but if I lost the furry side of myself. I honestly don't know what I would do. (LOL)

I also believe that much like furry, the brony fandom has different meanings for everyone, and just because its about a kids show that might not necessarily be intended for the audience its gathered, it doesn't mean it deserves any less respect then we would give to our furry brothers and sisters.

Also, as much as I like Rainbow Dash, I think Fluttershy is my favorite. I just love her sweet nature and her respect for all living things. ^^

Sincerily,

Princess Bluevulpine... Errrr... Tj...

I have seen all the episodes so far ^.=.^; Pinkie pie is by far my favorite cause she had qualities I very much admire, especially in the world we know today. She is energetic, upbeat, fun loving and just does things her way to the beat of what she finds to be the most fun to her. But I also think I like her so much cause I got parts of me that parallel her. In high school I was the class clown kinda guy, always cracking horrible one liners and puns or just doing really silly things like walking around with a candy bag full of wet clay and waiting for moocher kids to come and ask for some of that candy just so I could see the looks on their faces when they grabbed what felt like...well... XD

I honesty love the show. My list of reasons are as follows.

1: Animation is smooth and clean cut in an era where everyone seems to be trying to make cartoons look like n64 graphics. I love how bight and vibrant it is, when you watch it in 720P or 1080P you feel like your eyes and going to explode into skittles lol

2: Plot: No this is not a troll comment, the episodes while some being very formulaic still are rather enjoyable cause they are rather well made. I think its neat they usually wrap up with a little "morale of the story" it kinda helps the show feel more grounded in a sense and thus more likely to be accepted by older viewers just like it is now.

3: Character personalities: I find many current cartoons un-watchable cause the characters are VERY cookie cutter, pretty much the same 5yr old goof-offs that yell loudly and flail around (I like that stuff but I prefer Gmod videos on youtube), as you can imagine it gets boring fast. MLP FIM the characters all got rich personalities and they don't jump around between them like a bipolar on a caffeine high. They all are stereotype personalities yes, but they are just played so well that even the ones I should by all means hate... I actually like them.

4: Voice actors: They actually speak and the each characters voice is unique! They don't yell their lines or talk in nasally geeky tones or force extremely thick accents. (unless for satire purposes)

I honestly thing the show could have been about rainbow foxes and dragons and it still would have sold if they kept the same setup, character personalities and animation style. They just some how found the right mix of all these elements of entertainment and applied it to My Little Pony so thus ponys became popular.

Interesting that it's captured the attention of so many.  Personally, I haven't seen it but I've heard it's surprisingly good from a sabretoothed friend of mine.  I'm a little skeptical, but I did like MLP as a kid.  Had about a million ponies at some point in my life.  We didn't really play 'Ponies' along to the show, though.  We usually played things like 'The pony civilization has to choose a sacrifice to take up to the cave of the Giant Snake every few months, so that he'll provide protection from the meat-eating dinosaurs.'

We were kind of wierd.
