Hey furs. I missed this place. Gonna be in school, so I'll be preoccupied, but I'll drop in more often, I promise. On an aside, I have this theory that My Little Pony and the Brony phenomenon has swept up a lot of furs and shuttled them along down the line. Seems to be a lot of furs are also bronies.

Not that I know, or that I am one. Just sayin'.

I'm actually surprised that it took this long for a pony thread to emerge on this forum, considering the show's proliferation everywhere else... well, for the most part. I haven't actually had the opportunity to watch the show, as I don't have cable/satellite (and prefer not to pirate TV episodes). Maybe that's what's limiting the spread of ponies to furry.ca: the show is available streaming online (and on iTunes) in the States, but not so much in Canada (at least from what I've found).

A bit unfortunate, really: judging by the show's sudden popularity on the Internet, there's probably something significant about it. It looks good in a lot of the avatars, signatures and derivative works it has spawned. (If I still had satellite, I might have already been consumed by the herd.) Hasbro Studios' strategy of getting top talent behind its properties seems to be paying off. I've seen a few episodes of Transformers Prime (which, unlike MLP:FiM, has an official Internet stream in Canada) and judged it a quality production; and what I've read on TV Tropes suggests that the new Pound Puppies series is basically a spiritual successor to Recess.

I've found it and watch it via youtube and haven't had any problems finding an episode.

http://www.youtube.com/user/BeanyOne has all the episodes from season 1

Like I said, I'd rather watch from an official source.

With youtube really cracking down on copy write now a days its a fairly good source, apparently hasbro has not said anything about their shows being on youtube, and if they did they would of removed the videos asap.

I guess Lauren Faust understands how the internet works, unlike so many other creators out there. Most people go the route of shutting EVERYTHING down and slapping copyright suits here and there over it, and all it does is shoot themselves in the foot because then people will go "oh I cant watch this online.. was a good show.. too bad the creators are a douche". Lauren understood that her shows phenomenal success was due to the fact of how viral it became on the internet, heck she even has her own DA page if I recall where she gets tons and tons of feedback on the show, she knows if she or Hasbro said anything it would just murder their ratings and wreck havoc with the massive fan base.

Well, YouTube view counts won't be doing much to help the show's ratings. It'll be interesting to see what steps Hasbro/The Hub will take to turn the YouTube audience into something that can keep the series profitable.
