Cry My hamster Cheesepuff died some time well I was at school, I'm pretty upset about it he was such a good hamster, never bit anyone would let you hold him any which way. You could even pick him up by his toes and he didn't mind. He down hill really fast over 2 weeks he lost a bunch of hair stopping using his wheel, I took it out and moved his cage around to make things better for him, and then he would just sleep all the time. Now he is gone after only 2 short years, my poor little guy you will be missed.

My condolences, Cobalt...

I remember my hamster I had when I was younger. His name was Tibby, and could be summed up in the same way you describe Cheesepuff.
If he was anything like your hamster, I know what your going through.

My first hamster was cool like that. His name was George. Yes, I had named a hamster George...
He lived a bit over three years though. Durable little thing he was...
Subsequent hamsters just weren't the same though. Had a female hamster soon after that came from the store already loaded with a stock of extras, apparently. Yeah, she got knocked up at the store or something. That was... interesting. Gave most of them away, anyways.
It's true what the hamster books say. The males are more agreeable than the females. Far less... cranky. Seems to work that way for humans, too. *ducks and covers*

My sympathies Cobalt.

Although I've never owned a Hamster, I recently lost my beloved Cat and I know how hard it is to say Goodbye to a friend. But Time heals all wounds as they say, so remember the good times and never forget.
