I just watched the "Fanboy Confessional" Episode on Furries. I was watching to see if I knew anyone but I don't think I did. Yay for good media for furries. Anything is better than the dreaded CSI episode.

I'm watching it now on Spacecast here http://www.spacecast.com/fanboyconfessional.aspx (Internet is a wonderful thing when you cut out cable XD) ***Edit*** Well that was ze best Media program I've seen about furries. But then again, the whole series has had a good vibe.

Watched it; liked it. They did pretty well for a 22-minute show; if they'd had a full hour, they obviously could've covered some topics more in-depth. If someone asked me for a video explanation of furry, I'd probably point them in the direction of Fanboy Confessional (if the video worked from their location).

I really liked this episode (whole series is amazing). It described furries in a friendly way, mentioned art, fursuits and even covered the more sexual side in a calm way, like sex-ed class calm.

I saw that episode, I was actually rather pleased at how level headed the episode was done. But then again, this is a show about all sorts of fandoms and extreme interests so its gotta be within certain bounds. Even the other episodes were really awesome, the LARPer episode made me almost wanna try it Excellent episode though, loved it ^.=.^

The SPACE network thrives on strange things. If it's not showing something related to space sci-fi, it's some other random, odd thing. It's a network that's not about shock value, but to showcase the odd, unusual things in modern media. So yeah, it's going to cast a positive light on the fandom. It's in that network's nature to do so. Space isn't into shock value shows, since the whole network makes shock value look like the norm. Good show though. I've met Pyat before at Toronto furmeets, but it's been a long while. Benjamin

I've finished watching the rest of the season. I highly recommend it, and hope they get to make a second season (and get some international distribution going on).

I actually originally saw the episode when it was previewed at Condition: Red this year (Condition originally hosted the film crew during filming back in August 2010). I honestly thought that was a massive risk; as brought up a few times, furries are massively averse to the media and if it hadn't gone over well Michael McNamara (the producer) would've been driven out of the hotel.
But it was received very positively by the audience, and rightfully so. Honestly, it's the sort of thing that I'd be very comfortable telling to somebody not familiar with the fandom "Go watch this."
