Last week I broke my laptop screen and had to get it fix which was a pain 'cause I didn't realise how much I used it till now. But I got it back and I don't have to use my phone anymore for the internet. But that's the good news compared to what happened. I learned on of my dear old co-workers from the Military Museum I worked at had passed one due to Cancer and then it went from bad to worse on friday.
Friday morning turned from a normal morning to the scarest thing I have ever faced in a long while. My Beloved Siamese cross Cat, Tia began to chock a bit. At first I didn't think much of it because this was fairly commen and we had an appointment next week to check it out. but as I sat beside her it got worse and worse. Soon I called my folks to rebook as soon as possible but they were busy at work and didn't reply right away. She fell in one spot and didn't try to walk as her choking got worse and she began to moan as she foamed at the mouth. This scared the sh*t out of me and I quickly ran downstairs and grabbed the pet carrier, put her in it than ran outside. As I don't have a car and it was midday I began banging on my nieghbours doors for a ride to the nearest vet. Luckily I found a nieghbour willing to dive us to the Vet. When I entered the vet's office they brought her into a room and notice that this was actually an emergency case and they dropped everything and began to focus on her only.
Luckily she's stubbon  and she beat the odds while they manage to stablize her. They told me if I was an hour later I might have lost her. They found out her lungs filled up with fluid and she was basicly drowning. After much testing and two long worry filled days they ruled out cancer and told me she has minor Heart disease and she's asthmatic.
But I can say now she's fine though a bit sluggish from the meds. And this whole inccedent was the scarest thing I've faced in a long while and brought back some bad memories. Tia even seems a bit changed from the whole event, I can't even imagine how she felt.

I would prefer to fly a Biplane high in the sky, or dive deep to the abyss, or be in the middle of a battle. But I never want to watch one of my Animals dying in front of me again.

This must have been a horrible week. Sad I wish you and Tia all the best.

Ah.. that does sound pretty freaky.  It's those unexpected terror moments of thinking something is out of your control, and someone else is in very real danger, that really get you freaked out.

Glad things turned out all right in the end.  Poor creature; not being able to breathe is certainly a scary thing for someone not expecting it.

Hopefully she stays in good health; good of you to get her so quickly to the vet's.
