So as the title implies, What are your Favourite Animal or Anthro Movies? (I don't know if this topic has already been started, if so sorry.) My Top 3 Favourites in my Life are, Hachi: A Dog's Tale, this movie is beautiful, and still makes me cry at the end. A wonderful story on Friendship and Loyalty. Free Willy, I grew up watching this movie till the tape melted. Still one of my Favs to today. The measures one will take to save a Friend. The Fox & The Hound, Another movie from my childhood, and one I still love to this day. True Friendship that can overcome some of the strongest hate. Hmm, maybe I just love the real bond between the Characters. anywho, what are your favourite Animal or Anthro Movies? and why are they your Favourites?

You can totally tell a fur's age by the movies they're enamored with. I'm a bit older than some of you by the looks of it.
The Secret Of Nimh (Don Bluth's best) An American Tail (And another) Fox & The Hound (Great old-school emotion. One of the last "simpler time" Disney films) The Lion King (F*** yes. Scar is one of Disney's best villains, and the music is great) Beauty & The Beast (Ostensibly, this isn't exactly furry, but I think the Beast counts). All Dogs Go To Heaven (Don Bluth's last great hurrah) Oliver & Company (shallow and 80s though it was, fun times had by all) The Great Mouse Detective (with Vincent Price as Professor Ratigan) The Brave Little Toaster (again, not furry, but still anthropomorphic, and incredibly dark for a kids show) Rock-A-Doodle (I know a lot of people didn't like this, but when I was a kid I thought it was great) Kung Fu Panda (Finally, something modern. This show was hilarious. You are free to eat.)
I'm sure I'm forgetting more. Basically if it was anthropomorphic and made in the 80s, I was down. It's like my parents knew, because well before I could buy my own movies better than three quarters of them were Disney and Don Bluth shows with anthros as the main focus.

The Aristocats! Forgot that one.
I worked at a fast food restaurant that had a television in the lobby that played that movie constantly, over and over. I've seen it so many times.

I love most the movies already named, but I thought I would just stick to my absolute Favourites. btw anyone know where I can fined "official" harmonica musc sheet of the Song that jess plays to Willy in the Free Willy movie? (PM me) Also to add, most of my Favs, are old movies. Hachiko: A dogs Tale took #1 last year when I saw it for the first time. knocking out Free Willy as my all time Favourite! (btw, idk why but I love listing things, giving them importance ) And I'll list all top 10, but just names for them, because I think I've rambled on enough and if I continue to type a discirbe of why I like each on it will be on of those "tl;dr" Mainly these are the ones that have stuck in my Memory with an Iron grip. Hachiko Free Willy (1) Fox & the Hound Balto Air Bud (1) The Lion King (1) Over the Hedge Ice Age White Fang 101 Dalmatians (old one XD) The Aristocats

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned 'How to Train your Dragon' yet. That one gets my vote for one of the best anthro stories/movies in the past decade or so. I was really impressed with it.

Watership down and Plague Dogs. I love the style of animation~ *Purrs* I would have to agree, here. Aside from the animation, which is surely enjoyable in how traditional it is, it's really the serious message and tragic overtones that get me on these ones. Have you read the books? By the way, Veekahr; your signature and post footnote are fantastic. I'm surprised that no one has mentioned 'How to Train your Dragon' yet. That one gets my vote for one of the best anthro stories/movies in the past decade or so. I was really impressed with it. I entirely agree. I watched it in Seattle with a furry friend and found myself entirely inspired, both artistically, and in the sense that the animation was amazing and we can likely expect great things (visually) from the movie industry now that they're capable of such amazing and realistic effects. Avatar was another one; that movie was, quite simply, visually incredible. The storyline for HTTYD was sympathisable as well. Except for the love interest, I found it very legitimate. (It had your typical 'person who was a bully and didn't like the downtrodden suddenly has a change of heart and now wants to be with them, now that they've gained popularity. And of course, the downtrodden is now OK with it, even though he was treated poorly before.) But, then again, I have a bit of a bias in that department. For the target audience (kids); it's a good way to make a clear message that once somebody understands something (or someone) that might be different than they're used to, they start to fear it less, and we should all be more accepting for that reason. (Not all things that are different or misunderstood are 'bad'). Good message, good movie. Drewdle: No worries. I was going to take you outside and beat you for a while, but I think we're good now. -LS

I own both of them, but I constantly have a massive pile of "to-reads" looming over me, and I haven't gotten to them yet. D; And thankye!

The Lion King was a huge influence on me getting interested in art, through the fan art website. Balto and Brother Bear are equally awesome, closely followed by Bambi and the Rescuers Down Under Recently I really enjoyed Bolt and Guardians too.
