Holy crap, really? That's insane.

Just this morning, my cat knocked down the figurine I'm doing for Lady Seph (from the top of the hearth, no less) and took a good chomp out of one of the ears. Thankfully, the damage will be really easy to repair.

Considering all of the cat interest that sculptures made of this clay seem to attract, maybe there is an additive to the raw clay that felines find attractive and tasty.

I know that I'll be keeping any WIP figurines in secure locations from now on. >.<

Allrighty then. This figurine was finished over a month ago, and delivered at BC FurBQ as an art trade with Lady Seph. I've had the pictures on my comp for a while, but I've been too lazy to post them. So, here they are!

If anyone hasn't seen the reference pictures I was working off of, there is a thread for them in the sketch section. I suggest you check them out, they are really nicely done!

As I mentioned when TJ brought it down; this creation is absolutely amazing!  The level of detail is just phenomenal; I've got it packed in an especially secure spot for the move so that it has no chance of getting damaged.  The  chains are just a fantastic touch.  The colours are spot-on, the hair is incredibly detailed and so much fun, especially the back.. love the feet, too.  And the fabric in the pants, that's just so unique!  I know I'm spouting off compliments but I was so thrilled to see the amount of detail and fantastic effort that went into this sculpture.

It's really phenomenal and I'm so very looking forward to giving you your painting.  Thanks so much for doing such a fantastic job!  I was overwhelmed when I opened it.  (And packed so nicely in a box full of popcorn).  Smiley

The claws are neat, too.  I love the way she sits!  The black fingers are just too cool.  And so very perfectly slim, too.. so very fitting.  Smiley  Love it!

Thanks again, Ruby; this is really fantastic.  ^^

Talk soon;

I am thrilled (and terribly relieved) that you are happy with it, Seph. ^.~

Alanna and Cobalt ~ Thanks for the kind words! <3

I am actually embarking on a couple more figurines at the moment; smaller in scale, but on a built up wooden base, so they actually have a bit of an environment around them. I'll post some wip pics when I get them really going.

They are going well, Seph. I have an eta of about 5-8 hours left until the two that I am currently working on are finished.

These ones have full backgrounds, too. ^.~
