Well, after going under the needle once again this past Friday, I felt I should start a tattoo thread.  Just got a yin-yang type symbol on my right arm.  Has a lot of personal symbolism within it.

I also have the werewolf paw on my hip, as well as a memory piece from the time spent down in Costa Rica.  ("Deje mi corazon en Zapotal" translates to "I left my heart in Zapotal."  Metaphorically, I hope.)  Smiley  I drew them all; I don't think I could get something done that I hadn't drawn first.  Although, I did consider just letting one artist have 'free reign' of some part of my body.  We'll see what happens.  Smiley

Do you have any tattoos you want to show?  Any plans for tattoos?  Or, are you just not really a tattoo-type person?

I eventually plan to have the Darkstalker across my back.  (My 'inner demon'-slash-somewhat fursona.  I have a different fursona for 'being furry/human'.)

Let's see 'em!

Here are mine:
New ink on the forearm:

Werewolf paw on the hip:

Costa Rica on the right leg:  (Excuse the poor angle; it was a tough one to photograph with the flash being so bright.)  (Shark, Jaguar and Snake)

Cheers;

I have a stylized maple leaf on my right delt. Designed by me. Pics when I take them.

it wouldn't feel the same if I didn't design my tattoos myself. Unless it was a friend who did it as a gift. I have a stack of tat designs in my sketchbook, most are celtic knots. When funds are present, I'll be able to get some of them done.

Got this done back in 2008. Its not too special, though I need to get it touched up, and I have been working on some designs to get around it. I'm thinking my next tat is going to be an Orphic Egg on my arm or a custom Oroboros I've been thinking about. :3

Nice new tat there, Seph. I'm hoping to get some new ink before this summer. :3

Puma: Its cool you do your own tats dude, looking forward to seeing some pics :3

I've been designing future tattoos for myself since I was 15. I've always wanted to do my fursona, wings spread with the words lascilo volare underneath ("lascilo volare" roughly translates to "let me fly")

I drew this one myself and got it tattooed just under my left collarbone.

I think I need to get "beer is heavy" tattooed on the back of my hand. That way, when I walk to the liquor store, I'll see it, and won't go and buy two cases at once. But to justify it this time, moosehead had limited edition cans, and you get a free glass if you buy a twelver of bottles. I got both.

Nice design, Jeh.  I dig that simplistic style; I had once thought I'd get a praying mantis in a similar style.  (And may yet.)  Plans for any more?

That's an amusing thought, Puma.

I'm thinkin' when an extra 200 appears in my bank account I should look into a paw print. The only question is where... Gotta keep my arms clean for work, neck and face are out for the same reason (though I could probably get away with the neck) or I could do a catface tat (complete with bow tie and top hat). Decisions, decisions.

Also, have any of you ever had a moment where you've seen one of your tats and had a moment of realization? Like "hey, there's something I've created that is now part of me for life". This usually happens after I've been drinking...

Oh man, I wish I had some ink to show you guys! I'm still in hard debate with my brain about the future tattoo. I'd like to get one soonish, and with having a full time job, it's nearly doable...it's just getting it done, and where, and what!
My original thought was to have two inner forearm tattoos, one on each side, but now...well, what with my intended job and all, I think I'm going to have to avoid something I may have a difficult time hiding. I may change to an upper back tattoo ;P

Wow, those are so really nice tattoos!  Its really cool that you drew most of those yourselves!

I'm planning to get a tattoo next year with my sister.  I plan to get spots & tabby stripes along my shoulder blades in memory of my 2 kitties who shaped my furry life.  I might get the spots trailed down the spine as well.  Another idea was a ying-yang like design of a wolf & lioness with a star in the middle of them on my upper arm,but it would need to be high enough so my uniform covers it!
