Furnal Equinox is pleased to offer plenty of time and space for panels as part of our programming. Attending a panel is a great opportunity to learn new skills and meet people with similar interests. However... these panels need hosts... and becoming a panelist is a great opportunity to share your skills with others!

As a panelist, we'll make sure that your panel is promoted (both on our website and in our conbook) for everyone to see, and that you're set up with any materials that you might need.

If you're looking for ideas of what to run, some of the offerings last year might give you some ideas:
 * Animal and comic drawing
 * Fursuit performance
 * Q&As on furry fiction
 * History of furry
 * Species gatherings (rodents, canines, etc.)
 * Social gatherings (spirituality, etc.)

If you have an idea for a panel or any other event you'd like to host, fill out our panel submission form with some info about the panel, your needs and when you'd like to run it. You can also contact us at programming@furnalequinox.com.

We look forward to hearing about your idea and giving you a venue to share it with others!

Just a reminder that the deadline for panel submissions is February 13, 2011. We have most of our panel slots filled up at this point, but there is still room for a few more events that can be run. Whether you'd like to host a gathering of species or talk about art, writing or fursuiting, it's a great way to get people of similar interests together!

You can submit your idea to us any one of the following ways:

- Fill out the form here
- E-mail your idea to programming@furnalequinox.com
- Just post the panel proposal here and I'll make sure it gets to the proper folks Smiley

As you've almost certainly heard by now, Furnal Equinox is expanding to a new venue in 2011 with more rooms and more opportunities for panels and other programming. We're able to offer a great breadth of panels thanks to the initiative of our membership (that's you!) but this is the last chance to get your ideas in before submissions close this week!

To make sure that we can offer a good breadth of panels, we are specifically looking for people who are interested in running the following events:

 - Species gatherings (canines and felines in particular!)
 - Authors to host panels on writing.

We will provide promotional support for your panel by listing it on our website before the convention, putting it on the schedule and in the conbook, as well as on the FEN feed (a TV screen that'll be rotating information and attendee pictures throughout the con!)

Our events page (http://www.furnalequinox.com/Events) has more information, as well as a link to a form that goes to our programming coordinators. So please share your ideas... we look forward to hearing them!
