Ok, so I was wondering. Does anyone have something that for some unknown reason for as long as you can remember really move you? Really tug at some deep emotion in the pit of your soul? Makes you really sad or Happy and you don't quite know why?
For me, It's been the R.M.S. Titanic. When I first heard that name spoken on the T.V. when I was 4. I've "awaked" some knowledge and feelings. She was my first passion. When I see the ship in a beautiful ocean seen I feel so happy and sad at the same time it's almost indescribable. It has been the only thing in my current life to really make me burst into tears every time I see something on her. (Except the damn movie! it's an Insult) She means more to me than anyone will ever get i fear. I feel a real personal connection with her. Titanic was the first thing I drew tones of pictures of, made hundreds of models, learned all I could, If it was about the Titanic I wanted it. I even made a small memorial shrine to her and those that Built her. I Have been saving my money for 2 years for my 2012 April trip to Belfast Ireland. To be honest, Memories and things about the Titanic have been flooding back to me for the last week, and while writing this I have been fight back tears. She Means a lot to me. So, to All those that Built her, and the guarantee group, you will always be in my heart.
So my Question to you, are there things in your life that you have had a strong deep connection with and really move you? but you just can't figure out why? you just do.

The poem " The Raven"
I have no idea why. Though I'm not one to focus completely on one passion, I adore that poem. It just tugs at me, like you've pretty much explained. I could read it or listen to it over and over and I'd still love it. It's just one of those things.
I first heard it when I was quite young,I couldn't tell you what age, and it was one of those things that stuck. I'll never know why,but it got me to buy the complete works of Poe and though there is parts of his work I do not care for, this poem will stay with me ~

Now that you mention it, I know I have many but my mind has been weary lately and I cannot remember them all.
Only this one: Jeff Wayne's Musical version of the War of the Worlds. It has amazing storytelling and absolutely incredible music. I feel my soul flying through the sky when I listen to it, and my imagination can see with clarity exactly what is happening with every sound and every musical note. It can bring me close to tears, and it can warm my soul to make me smile. It really is a masterpiece, and I highly recommend it to anyone.
I do have several passions, which have similar effects on me: reading, writing, acting and ancient Egypt.

The Plight of Our Fearful Earth. The world that we live in wherein people are told day after day that it's "A dog eat dog world" and that in order to get ahead you have to horde as much as you can, be it wealth, friends, or material things of other fashions, they mark the "success" of a human being in this world. How that mindset instils within all of us, subconsciously, a feeling of Fear, one which we don't see as "being afraid" so often as we see it in the many Faces of Fear, the many feelings of negativity that manifest throughout our daily lives. The fact that there is a far harder, far clearer road. The fact that my experiences have pushed me toward this road just enough to see it, so that I may choose to follow it, or to follow the herd of humanity. And finally the fact that the road I chose to walk is hard, bright, and beautiful, with chaos and Fear surrounding me at all moments, touching not within mile of where I stand, where I walk, and where I must go.
This is what moves me.

Very nice all. And Halo, Very Very nice. But Earth is not Fearful, being the Germanic Goddess she is. It's the Silly Human race.

There are so many things,
anything that has to do with war, it always makes me so sad. I can't even watch movies like Black Hawk Down because they make me so upset. Many of the things that move me are books and stories about bravery. The Count of Monte Cristo has always stuck with me

Yes war is a nasty thing. I Vollenteer at The Military Museums in Calgary. Something else that moves me is seeing the Flags at half mast, becuase it usually means we've lost another soilder. Also, Black Hawk Down is a pretty dramatic Movie, but that is one of those cases were the Hollywood Version is actually heavy censored to the Real story. It was far worse in real life, and anyone who has seen that movie knows that it was really bad mess.

I agree on music - I'm always flipping genres, but it is always integral to my sanity. Maybe that's why I never cared much for "real" jobs, and keep returning to DJing. Plus I find the right music (whatever is right for that moment in time), can put me in a very meditative and imaginative state. If only I could put things on paper as clearly as I see things in my delusional furry little head

If people could say hook up a T.V. to my head and View my thoughts I think their minds would Explode. I find it hard most times to express myself in words. I usually sit around till I have a "Eureka!" Moment and drop everything and beggin Typing. Music is one thing that always plays here (in my head), different genres help with Different things. I got stuff from the Beatles to Nightwish, From Arrogant worms to Meditation/Tibetan Music, to War Music or Soundtracks galore!

I know what you guys mean. The things I see in my head I wish I could draw them, but my skill is way not good enough to do the images justice. In time, if I practice, perhaps. But for now it is frustrating that I cannot show what is in my mind *laughs*
I love some new age classical music from certain games like Icewind Dale I & II, as well as some from Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate.
And I loooove Vide cor meum ^^

Music is my weakness, too. Especially songs like valkyrjan, or the bridge of hold the heathen hammer high. The music vid for sinklars visa also gets me... Come to think of it, pretty much the entire album (tyr "land") moves me. You would have to hear it to understand.
The other thing that gets me is when ever the dog dies in a movie or book. Yeah, I own dogs, so it just kills me to see them die. I actually broke into tears when sam dies in I am legend. Me, the guy who didn't cry at his own grand parents funerals.

The poem " The Raven" Funny, that was always one of my favorites as well. I had it completely memorized by the time I was in grade 7 or so, and eventually added a dozen or so of his others to my repetoir.
It's nice to see that others are moved by music as well. I can't go through a day without it, it's a necessity for me.

I think it's because theres more to that poem then what is seen at first glance,I'm glad someone shares in that interest.~
Music,I cannot say I am an addict when it comes to music or that i need it a lot.But there are times that I will listen to a CD over and over until I feel I need to switch to another. I listen to a very many things,so it could be just about any CD.
