A swan at the Calgary Zoo...

Peacock at the zoo....

This is a pic of the "Athabaska Falls" just outside Jasper, if you have the opportunity, definatly check em out ^.=.^

One of the old "Manors" in Heritage park in Calgary, looks great in Sepia O.=.o

Ultra Bright, At night! one of the main Bridges leaving Prince George, this was taken at about 1 in the morning, this is a super long exposure.

Ultra Bright, At night! Prince George! yup... nothing special, most people would have deleted this, its over exposed but it looks cool like this i think ^.=.^

Another night shot! ultra long exposure, the Fraser River in Prince George, all the light in this pic is from Prince George in the distance (hence the yellow hue)

Yet another long exposure, taken at about 2 in the morning? when i was camping, this is Vivian Lake, looks pretty neat ^.=.^ (i MAY have been drunk when i took this... O.=.o its hard to set this stuff up when you cant walk a strait line >.=.>)

Hey! I was excited to see you started a thread Wyrd! :3

I really liked your night shots, theres really something about long exposures capturing the faintest lights and using them to light a picture.

Out of this set, my favs were the Sepia House and the Athabaska Falls. I love That area of BC, and I've driven through a few times, though I'm hoping to get a chance to take a longer trip and explore the area. And sepia is one of my favorite effects for pictures, so you win at that as well. Cheesy

Also, I too am curious as to what kind of camera you were using. It looks digital, though I am not sure, though if it is a DSLR, I would recommend lowering your ISO and using the Bulb feature if you have one when taking night shots. A lower ISO will reduce noise and using the bulb feature with a remote will allow you to take as long an exposure as you want without risking bumping the camera.

Excellent work, I'm really looking forward to seeing more Wyrd. :3

Tj : Thanks! ^.=.^ i have been all about night shots lately, the old manor is a wicked pic, and you totally should, the Athabaska fall is amazing!

As for my camera? XD Canon A480 Point and shoot, its a simple entry level camera, but i "Hacked" it im running different Firmware on it that allows me to run scrips so i can do my long exposures and time lapse photography as well as motion sensing photography, its pretty cool actually ^.=.^ if you guys want to know more just ask!

And my Iso is as low as she goes, wish they were a bit better, but their pretty ok shots ^.=.^

Ps. Kapitan, answered ya above XD

Dude, nice!!!!! I bet your going to have lots of fun playing around with that new DSLR of yours, hope to see many more pictures soon! :3

Also, great shots, are you using the infrared filter on the shots of the RX-8? I'm quite keen on using it myself. Mayhaps I should do an update as well... *hmms to himself*

Keep it up, Wyrd! :3
