ok so I had an old computer laing here and I was told that I should take out the hard drive is that true?

and if it is how do I take it out?  what do I do with the hard drive when it is out?

the person how told me to do this was not realy informitf

There are different types of harddrives, depending on how old it is it might not work with yours. Take off the side panel, then unclip the hdd (or unscrew depending on the case) and unplug it. If it's the same as yours, it's worth putting in your current PC and having 2 harddrives to work with.

If you have a laptop then you can't do that. (unless the computer you're talking about is a laptop, then maybe, but there are different kinds)

will the computer I'm talking about the hard drive died, but some people sae that some one can get my

 info of it whan eathers sae that when the hard drive dies all info is lost for good.  sence you guys are so

 good with compoters I thout I'ed ask yous befor doing any thing with it.

  oh and how to despos of the bad hard drive in a way that no one can get the info of it
