Hello Ladies and Gentlefurs.
I am putting a call out to any and all VI furs to see if any of you would be interested in getting together for a mini meet to watch the annual Pride Parade in Victoria, wander the event, and maybe hit up a bar or two afterwards.
There is a decent little Hostel on Pandora street, which is not too terribly far from the parade route, affordable, and within close range of Papparazzi and at least one sevvie.
If we can get enough furs together, we can really take Vic by storm, and show them a little Furry Pride!
Anyone interested?

Hey there guys! That sounds like a cool idea. I have never gone to a Victoria pride day yet! Kinda missing the meets in Nanaimo...
Mattering on how many/who of you guys are coming to Pride, my apartment is just a few blocks from the hostel you mentioned. I have a fold out bed(double/queen?), my bed(queen) and floor space for a few folks (and pillows/blankets). Definately have to talk closer to the event(when is it??), and see how many is coming and if I work the next day(would have to kick you out in morning if so).. I'd say 4-5 people could just fine as long as no one tried anything frisky or got drunk o.0.
Not alot of room, but abit safer I think and could leave stuff at my place while at pride?

It might, though that wasn't my intention.
I just thought that it would be a blast to do a mini meet to enjoy the festivities of Vic Pride.
Plus, there are always a ton of hetero people at Pride too. ^.~

Yeah, a lot of people who have no experience with Pride events think that hetero people are not welcome, or that they are going to stand out, or be the vast minority.
In truth, I would say that it is at least a 50/50 mix of gays and straights, and everyone who isn't a screaming homophobe is welcome. ^^ |

Ladies and Gentlefurs, I come bearing information.
Vic Pride week runs from June 27th to July 4th this year. I'll post the link to the site at the end of this post.
What I was thinking was to maybe have people meet up the evening of the 3rd (Saturday) either at the hostel, a bar, a coffee shop or whatever and make plans about where and when to meet to watch the parade on the 4th (Sunday). After that, of age furs could enjoy the local entertainment of Papparazzi for the rest of the evening.
I know that I, for one, will probably be staying down there for at least saturday and sunday night. XDLinky Linky. Click on me!

Thanks! It was completed last year in august, the person still needs to send it. I'm kinda super un-impressed at the situation right now. But I hope it will be here for pride, if not then hopefully for FurBQ in August. XP |

Just so that I can make plans of my own. If I can snag a ride, great. If not, I need to know so that I can pay for my bus ticket 21 days ahead. (Saves me $50, and is way freakin' cheaper than taking my truck)

Hmmm, well, I've stayed there 3 times, in 3 different rooms, and have never had a problem with bedbugs.
And the people are just amazing.
