I'm feeling unusually motivated today, so here's the plan. If I can polish off the second glove, I'll take them and the sleeve pieces with me to my bf's place this weekend. (I left my laptop and its webcam there.) That'll make for some good pics. Wink

Heee...I pinned a sleeve front and back together just to see how it would look, and tried it on with the finished glove. I had a total "ZOMG IT'S ALIVE" moment. XD I can't wait to wear the completed suit for the first time!

We have sleeves! wOOt! They're only pinned together right now, but it still looks pretty sweet.  Shades Tonight's project is making the garbage bag/duct tape pattern for the feet. For convenience, the link to my fursuit album is in my sig.

If I manage to get the suit done in time, I might get to entertain in the showroom at work for customer appreciation day!

ZOMG I shortened the torso too much and now the bodysuit is too tight! (Holy perma-wedgie...Dead) Nothing is sewn together yet, so it might still be fixable. Does anyone know if I can add panels, at least to the back to loosen the shoulders a bit? I'd really like to be able to loosen the butt and crotch too...I don't want to blow a seam from bending over!

You shouldn't have too much trouble adding panels.

A trick with sewing, especially when starting out, is to always estimate fabric cuts on the side of 'too large' as opposed to 'too small'.  It's much easier to take a bit extra off than it is to potentially have to replace entire pieces or add sections.

Are you able to post pics?  Smiley

lol The initial moment of OMGPANIC is gone now. Smiley I can add panels where the wings are eventually going to be to hide any big ugly seams. It's a good thing I pinned it together and tried it on before I sewed it!

I must have measured too close...I didn't factor in ease of movement. Oh well, this whole project is one giant experiment! ^_^ I'll know better for next time.

There aren't any pics of the bodysuit just yet. I have more of the paws, feet and leg padding on my camera, and they should be developed soon. I'm going to the zoo this weekend to polish off that roll.

Ha ha, i love my old Pentax K1000 SLR but its just not the same as a Digital, for really nice shots i use my SLR for regular things i use my Cannon A480 Hacked point and shoot, Trust me its TOTALLY worth having a little digital!

But sounds like everything is coming along well!

The bodysuit is done! OMGHOT, but it looks bloody amazing! I'll get someone to take pics soon...I can't work the camera while wearing the paws. Wink

I think I'll be able to finish him in time for customer appreciation day at work. I only need to fur the feet, fur and attach the tail, make eyes and teeth, and fur the head! That's gonna be an insane amount of fun. I just have to remember to not touch the furniture in the showroom. I shed. Ugh

Soon I'll be a fursuiter!! ^_^
