Hey there, all!

So, Furnal Equinox in Toronto a few weeks ago was a great success.  As far as I understand, they basically had twice as many attendees as they were planning for, and they seem to have possibly broken the 'largest first con ever' record, including something like the largest con in Canada overall.

The staff was amazing and I was fortunate to get to know quite a few of them very well.  The people were great.  Heading in there, I knew very few people.  (Except Scani, Potoroo and a few others from the forum who I ended up running into later in the con).  D'otter showed up for lunch, which was lovely, and I met some absolutely amazing crew out there that I truly hope to see again soon.  Lots of fursuiters (around 40), and just an overall amazing time.

The hotel was nice (if expensive), and the staff were curious and friendly.  As far as I'm aware, we didn't have any trouble with non-furs in the hotel.  An older couple actually wandered into the dealer's den because they thought it was some kind of hotel-run thing, but they were friendly and the staff handled it very well.  (Oh no, hide the furry porn! )

Sales at the table went well; some of the AAA's were sold, as well as a few on-the-spot sketches.  I was offering free art trades in order to meet people, and that went over well.  I would have had badges up for sale, but my laminating equipment didn't arrive in the mail soon enough.  Smiley  Ah well!

The dances were fantastic and everything a furry rave should be; we danced up until around 2:00 each night until finally crashing.   It was a fantastic time and I'm certain to go again next year, provided the crew I met is all going up as well.

Anyways, pictures!

Oh, I also got really bored on the five-hour layover at the Calgary airport, so I bought a bottle of Maple icewine (which was amazing) and spent half an hour in an airport bathroom stall getting the cork out with a pair of nail clippers, following which I propmptly drank said bottle in its entirety, and spent the rest of the afternoon's travelling in a carefree, inebriated state.  Pictures of that forthcoming.

Cheers;

More pictures:

Myself and D'otter:

At the cranbrook airport:  (This plane had like 10 people in it.. we all had a massive plane conversation, it was really quite amazing.)

The Ball Tree in Cranbrook:

Me being drunk in the airport:  (For those of you who are offended by alchohol consumption, know that I live right in the middle of Redneck Central right now, so it grants me a fair excuse.   Wink)

Dealer's den:

And this one's for you, TJ:

I also bought a lion tail while I was there, as well as won an auction for a mountable (on the wall, you sickos) lion head, so people kept assuming my fursona was a lion.  (Wula would be pleased.)  Smiley

Hope you enjoyed, and I hope to see many of you at FurBQ this year, as I can't wait to see so many amazing furs all in one place again.

All the best;

You'd better. We need Montreal to be represented in more ways than as staff at FE  Tongue

Naw, no need for that.
We'll make you staff eventually Wink

All kidding aside, FE is somewhere you really should go (that goes for everyone reading this).
