Alright, let me see.

Well, from all my life I've been interested with Anthropomorphic's and animals with or without human intelligence/qualities ( specifically Dogs and Ravens), so naturally once I've been around the internet I learned of the Furry fandom, and here I am now.

About me, I'm a male, I live in a remote town in Ontario with no Fur's in the surrounding area, so I thought I mitas'well join this forum. I'm a gamer, specifically Microsoft and Nitendo, I have both Wi-Fi and Xbox live ( Ask if you want my Gamer Tag), I'm a aspiring writer, and I want to retire in Newfoundland. I'm kind and logical, pretty outgoing.

About my Fursona ( Grey ), my Fursona is a Alaskan Malamute based off of myself, and, since he's based exactly off myself, there's not much more to say about it.

About my Involvement in the Furry Fandom: I like the art ( Just the clean art, though), though I'm not that great at drawing, I'm constantly practicing and trying to improve. On the other hand, I love to write and I believe I'm somewhat talented, though I need to practice and improve more on various aspects. I'd love to fursuit and costume and such, but, I do not have the funds, nor the skills required to buy or create one.

The community here seems much nicer, then, say, the Fur Affinity forums. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, I'll answer most of them.

Lycus:  Thanks for the welcome, I've officially " joined " the fandom, about three or four months ago, and I knew about it a month before, though, I thought of it by a stereotype ( though, a positive one, because I had a friend who said he was a " Fur " though I didn't know what it meant, but I knew him so I knew it couldn't have been that bad), that stereotype being that all furs suit, so I was like: " That's cool, but not me." Until I dug down a bit more, and now I'm here.

Wi-Fi is filled with problems and such, and all and all it's not that fun.

As for writing, it's all sorts of things, though another large problem I face is finishing things. I like to write about Zombies, Anthro's ( of course  Cool), and Fantasy stuff. I try to stray away as far as I can from the book " stereotype " though, I guess it's stereotypical to try to do that.

Don't forget I'm not alone on what? Trying to improve my literary skills or the thing about the Fursuits?

Anyways, thanks for the welcome, I guess I'll see you around the forum.

Shugo: Thanks for welcoming me to the forums, looking at the species box, my fursona used to be a Husky, though, I changed it because I'm more similar to a Malamute, oh, and nice hair by the way.

Welcome to the forums!

I joined the fandom just last October... but I've known since I was 13-14? I was afraid to join cause I didn't want people to think of me as demented or something. It was only until I researched it further (last year) that I knew that there were others like me. I was soooo relieved... so here I am... the candeh-lovin' Fenris!

Anyways, welcome... went over that. OH!!! ENJOY THE FORUMS!!!!

Thanks for the welcome, Fenris.

I thought about how people would think of me, but, I weighed it between, " I will enjoying myself more then before with a new sub culture for something I've always liked" or " I guess thing's will be fine, I'm apart of is the gaming and the zombie fandoms" But then through looking around at the community, and at some of the people, and youtube videos.  ( Tori Belliachi's " Furry War" And following Guru series was a big determining factor)

And I remembered some of the actions that people I told about it and joked about it with, and even though the biased and stereotype I had told them, they accepted everything, so I thought that they just wouldn't care.

And now I have like, five friends that know of my involvement in the fandom, and one that considers himself to be a psuedo-fur.

I think I will enjoy the forums.

(P.S. The Furry.ca forums were also a determining factor, about four months ago I checked around here because I was curious about it,  and everything just seemed lighthearted and fun. Though I only remembered about it recently.)

Welcome  Cheesy

I've gotten involved with many different types of communities over the years, and the furry community is the most open minded and accepting of all of them. You can talk about anything here, really!

I remember when I tried some other communities, like a Star Trek one (all they wanted to talk about what a warp reactor was made off  Roll Eyes), and a horror based one (all they wanted to talk about was blood and gore  Angry).

I love the diversity forums such as this has, and I think you will too  Cheesy

I have to say that I agree with you there, I'm not really involved with either fandom ( Undead and Gaming) discussions, it's more of just lurking. With the gaming, it's always the: " So and So couldn't beat so and so. " or " I'm stuck, can someone help me get past this part" - " Noob, that part was easy, wait till you try the game on the hardest difficulty. "

Or: " What's your zombie escape plan?" or " Max Brooks Solamun (sp?) zombies are to unrealistic" Or people fighting on if the undead are going to rise or not.

There is some others, but, I'm not going to delve to deeply into that.

I've already seen some of the diversity first hand, it seems as if there is a something for everyone, but people are tolerant enough to respect the different hobbies and such.

Thanks for the welcome.

Welcome aboard, eh!

Yeah, you'll find that there's a fair bit of depth to this fandom. It's not for everyone, but for those that're here, there's something of interest for everyone involved. Heheh.

Hello!

What ways are you interested in undeads? Does the destroying of typical ways humans live interest you in them, or is it something else entirely?

I agree, there's many different parts of it ( costuming, art) that's all integrated into a single group, but the thing is, it works. ( For the most part )

Thanks for the welcome, Ben.

Hello to you to. Cheesy

Well, I guess that the difference from life is kind've interesting, but there's also knowing that you're never safe, no waking moment, your only advantage is brains and it's all odds vs. you, and everything is turned into a life or death situation, where you always have to be alert.

I figure I just like that prospect, I don't know why, it's interesting and intriguing,  that's kind of like asking why I like Furry stuff, 'cuz it's interesting.

Interesting question. . . I never real thought about it before, thanks for the greeting.

Welcome to the forums! [  you know how new I am XD;  ]

Birds seem to have an aray of reasons as to why they are liked, or dis-liked.
With that said, can I get some insite as to why you like Ravens specifically?

Ah, X-box 360. <3

Well, I don't know much on that either. I guess it's kind've a 'free bird' type of thing, where Ravens are free and majestic, also very intelligent. I havn't really thought about it, there's something that just clicks. ( And my Favorite book is Raven Quest Roll Eyes And I like Owls to, I just like all Birds in general!)  Oh, and my Fursona was almost a Raven(or owl!)  too, but I like dogs Cheesy

And yeah, Xbox is great, do you have Xbox live, we can play sometime. And I didn't get Oblivion for the Xbox, the mods were good enough reason to buy the PC one. ( Even if my PC sucks )

Thanks for welcoming me, who welcomed you. XD

My sanity's ran across the street to take free Karate lessons because it doesn't know how long I'll be.  And I can understand the Fenris bit, I heard it's an official rule, and y'know, when somethings official its official.  Oh, and good luck with the lessons.

And thanks for welcoming to the forums.

Ah, I see~ Now that you mention it, I think I could see you as a raven or owl. *nod-nod* Cheesy But dogs are nice too.

I have to go out and buy one of those X-box live point/time card thingies. /swt Once I do that I can give you my gamer tag.
[yay, you actually knew what I was talking about! Cheesy I want to get the PC version as well. ]

Yeah, I also think that it also hast to do that I have a attraction to the air, and my favorite Furry esq. books are all focused on Birds. ( Raven Quest, Gaurdians of Ga'Hoole. )

And Xbox live is definitely worth the money, it's great. ( PC Oblivion, I like much more because of the hundreds of mods that can completely change the game to add new weapons like dual wielding and polearms.)

P.S. If you want to continue the Xbox conversation, send me up a PM, lest we get of topic.

Off topic in a hello post? Noooooo... XD

Greetings, Grey!

Ack! :O You dun like the furry pron? I guess you're the one we were talking about who doesn't fit into the stereotypical 'molds' we were discussing.

*chuckles*

Oh, just for the record, I was totally joking. If you fit into molds, you wouldn't really belong here. XD It's far too easy to be halfway out of one mold and into the next in the fandom, and as Ben said, there's an incredible amount of depth that you probably wouldn't realize, even provided the relatively unbiased opinion you're displaying.

Feel free to stretch your legs! Cheesy

Yup, I guess there's something that I just don't like about it. ( Hmm, the fur might be a good start Cheesy )

But, I've met about. . . 3 other Fur's online that also don't like it, so it's not exactly that uncommon, at least in my view. -shrugs-

I'd like to meet this depth, and for the record, I thought in my previous " Stereotype " of furs, it was the " judge not your fellow fur ", so I kind've swore myself to being tolerant and unbiased. But after being around a bit, I've realized that not all go by that rule, though, I think being with this state of mind wont bring anything but benefits.

Thanks for the greeting, I havn't stretched my legs in a while!
