I like the picture, don't get me wrong, however, the one issue i have is that the hair is very mullet-y.. other than that its not that bad.

Things I would work on in the future however, is, elongate the neck, because at the moment it looks like your lacking one, then again, with those muscles, hehe, you never know... you could have such big muscles that the neck is kind of just thicker...Also, the line above the sixpack, makes it look like he's slightly anemic(sp). It gives the illusion that his torso stops at the pecs.. or that he's an action figure...

Work on these couple things, and definetly keep on doing what your doing... I see some potential

Meth posted a pretty good post there. My biggest concern was the rib-line making him appear skinnier, or like an action figure.

I found reading anatomy books, as well as having a plethora of handy references online, helped me immensely in honing in on (and still) my anatomy. I would highly recommend a book called Dynamic Anatomy by Burne Hogarth:
http://www.amazon.ca/Dynamic-Anatomy-Burne-Hogarth/dp/0823015521/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1200551273&sr=8-1
And make sure you have a list of stock photo/normal photo websites to look at if you need quick references. I'd recommend Flickr.com and others of the like.
And.. if you are comfortable with it, I do approve of keeping pornography books and magazines for any other references.

Thanks Methadone and thanks for the suggestions ill work on thoes things as for the rib line i went back after and erased it and it does look a whole lot  better without it. The hair is rather mullet-y witch i tried to avoid but the ears mess me up ill proably change the hair a bit when i do a full body picture.

And thank you Davecko altho im one step ahead of you i already have alot of refrences online
and i actually got a few atatomy books the other day. The one you recomended was actually one of them...i guess great minds think alike! Tongue  Belive it or not i dont have any pornography books or anything but im shure i could find anything i might need online.

I was looking through your gallery and you have a few other pieces which were a lot better than this one. If you keep having fun like this you can only get better! Another source of reference material is DeviantArt itself - under the category " Resources > Stock Images".
Most artists who provide stock usually do so with the intention of allowing other people use it for non-profit work so you're less likely to get into trouble if you copy a pose. It's always a good idea to check their rules though!

Barbarian Warrior - 21 - is a great example of a stock image to use as a reference. You should look through the rest of his gallery too. There are some really inspirational things in there!
