I've been having trouble deciding on things to draw lately, and with being up in the northern yonder for two weeks at a time, I thought it would be a great opportunity to get some practice in, and try things a little more challenging.

Looking to draw pretty much anything. Can't guarantee that it will look good, but hey, its just for fun, right?

So yeah, if anyone is interested, let me know. I've literally got nothing but time up here.

Yea, I'd be up for that.  Just sketches, though; I'm working on something else with paint and I don't want to lose inspiration for it. 

I'd actually like to trade something dragon-like, unless you've got another idea.  To personalize, I guess mabye I'll do you on a dragon and you can do me?  (Which certainly doesn't sound dirty, at all.)  But really, if you've got something else in mind, I'm happy to do whatever.

No worries, I was just looking to do sketches as well. Also the idea sounds pretty bad ass, though I've never drawn a dragon before, so it may come out looking kinda... Well, not nice ^^;

But I take this as a challenge, to test my dragon drawing skills. Just a question regarding your fursona. Umm, the only pic I've seen is the one Josiah did a while back with the two of you. Just wanted to know if there have been any changes. ^^;

Thanks for doing this, should hopefully make the nights go by a little faster now that I have something to work on. :3

Ah, actually, I have a very different fursona than the one that Josiah drew.  .. I'll try and get you a reference pic, though I realise that I don't have a scanner or a camera cord at the moment, so I'll have to do it on photoshop.

Give me a day or two to get photoshop up and running, and I'll get you a reference.

So, I downloaded photoshop yesterday evening.  Turns out that it wasn't photoshop at all, but a virus.  Luckily, my free antivirus seems to have kicked it in the pants, as far as I can tell.

... Moral of the story:  Don't download $700 programs for free.

Mabye what I'll do is make the picture traditionally, and ship it to you.  Then, if you want to put it on the internet, you're absolutely welcome to.  Does that sound all right?

Seph: Bummer man, I tried downloading photoshop once and it didn't work out so well for me either. Shipping to me is fine, but I don't want to be a hassle, seeing as how your busy and stuff. What ever works best for you will be fine. :3 If your comfortable  with it, you could just give me a written description of your fursona, and I can attempt to render it to the best of my ability. Or I can wait for a picture. Either way, its going to be about eight days before I have access to my scanner and un-rocking computer. (Which was built for peak performance about 5 years ago. XD)

Pentium 4, single core, oh yeah! *sigh*

Regarding Photoshop:
I just use Gimp, and I don't have many problems with it, though I'm sure its not as powerful as Photoshop. Actually, I've never used any kind of Photoshop program. o_0
Maybe its something I should look into trying to obtain again... XD

Taking another opportunity to say that I'm still looking to do trades. Let me know if interested. :3

Heh.  Yea, I have a buddy who knows the good stuff, I'm just not eager to try again any time soon.  His name is Get Bamboo and his email is getfur1@hotmail.com.  You can just tell him Sephy said he'd know where to get a good (non-virus) version of photoshop.

TJ:  Oh yea; I forgot that I was also going to do a reference pic for you.  I can just describe, though..

Except I have black ears, and an orange diamond on the back of each handpaw, kind of like the spots in the picture.

I've got the same piercings that I actually have, which are the left eyebrow (two black balls), and both ears with a thick(ish) silver hoop with a silver ball in the middle.  Skinny, fairly toned in the form of being skinny enough to see most of the muscle on my body.   XD  Y'know; bony hips, bony ankles, the whole bit.  Tall and lanky, long legs.

As for the raptor parts, I've got a massive rapor toe-claw on each foot where the big toe would be, and the rest of the claws (both on the hands and the feet) are fairly curved and sharp, but not nearly as large as the one toe claw.

The toe-claws are missing and the remaining claws aren't really long enough, and I also forgot my eyebrow piercing.  Also, the anatomy's all funny, but..I suppose you get the general idea.

Seph: Hokay, got it. Here's to drawing my first Raptor-Dhole Hybrid! If it doesn't turn out looking like something that a three year old drew, I'll certainly colour it. :3

Here's my description.





So, as you can see I'm mostly orange. Standard white trail coming from the tip of my muzzle and running down my neck and torso. I don't have vulpine socks, so no black fur on my feet and legs, hands and arms, and on the tips of my ears. Uh, blue hair with parted bangs to each side. Also, my bangs have this thing about defying gravity, if you couldn't tell. Lots of volumizing spray works wonders. ^^;
Fur is kinda scruffy looking I suppose. And of course a white tip on the end of my tail and square framed glasses.

Usually wearing a t-shirt, with a long sleeved collar shirt over top. Sleeves are rolled up just passed the elbows. I'm usually indecisive about pants, so I'll leave them to your discretion.

Errmmm..... I think that's it. I'm not very unique haha. Though I do have an interesting birthmark on my fur. But that's for me to know, and no one to find out. haha jk.

Alright, here is my attempt at Seph riding a dragon. Sorry for picture quality, I'll have an actual scanned version when I get home.

First time drawing a dragon, and a rapter/dhole hybrid. So be gentle. XD



I like how the dragon turned out, but I thought the Seph's fursona was not really correct at all. There doesn't appear to be any real rapter-ness showing, and for that I appologize. I'm actually doing one of just Seph, so I can get the fursona right. I have to do Ruby's badge first of course. :3

I really wanted to get the form down, as well as all the things specified, but after I drew the dragon, I realized that there wouldn't be enough room to do so. So I tried to at least do a closeup on the head. Sure would have liked to have had my super big sketchbook with me. ^^;

With the design of the rapter/dhole hybrid, it brings a challenge to me, as I have spent  years just trying to get the human form down, and I still have trouble with it. But with this, you have to think out of the box when it comes to the anatomical design of the creature. Which is something I'm not really good at.

I am going to work on this "thinking outside of the box" thing, but I am really excited to try and make something cool and kick-ass looking. Your fursona brings the great opportunity to work on muscles and different forms,which promotes trying new things, which is kinda what I set out to do, so I'm pumped to try again. :3

So yeah, I'm sorry if this pic  isn't exactly what you were looking for, but I've got another one coming to hopefully make up for the shortcomings of this one. :3
