And love the Waterfall pic, it's my Fav, but just barely, all of them were cool. She's a Beautiful Orca no matter how crummy the pic Wink. (I really Miss seeing orcas the most)

More shots!

Eagle carving on our hotel deck with a beautiful Tofino sunset in the background.

Kennedy River and Mountains.

Stars! I love star shots.

Storm, one of the wolf dogs from the Hesquiat Village across the water from Hot Springs Cove Provincial Park, being a mooch.

Storm again, watching very closely as Cotty cuts up a steak.

Sand Graffiti.

Bush on Fire.

Light Painting with white Christmas lights.

Jordan River Dam. Originally built in 1911 with later additions.

Inside the dam, roaming around pipes and walkways with Brandon and Daniel.

More to come! Mucho thanks for taking a look and for comments. :3

Beautiful shots, as always.

That last photo looks remarkably like a still from Lost, somewhere inside the Hatch. Wink

*Purrrs*

Fantastic shots.  These are imagination-inspiring.

That shot of the fire is gorgeous.  I'd love to try and render something like that in paint one day when the free time is more available.

Great shot of the river, as well.

With your good word, sah, I'd love to do something fursona-wise with that last one.  Such a beautiful urban setting.  Smiley

Desolation sound is a beautiful place.  Somehow I missd that entire previous post until I hit 'reply' and saw more picturesGr, so I'll save those comments for another post at some piont.

Great job with the lightplay.

I stand in awe of the star picture; it inspires such intrigue.

Wow, TJ; there are some really great shots here.  What kind of camera are you using?  I can't recall if you've mentioned it or not.

Cheers;

Josiah: Thanks man. I'm really wanting to get back there for more pictures. I really like the look of industrial settings. The concrete support beams with steel walkways, its almost like something out of a sci-fi. Thanks for taking a look and for the comment! :3

Lady S: Many thanks for the kind comments, and you'd be more then welcome to use any of my shots. Let me know if you'd like the hi-res versions.
I'm using a Pentax Kx DSLR, its an entry level, so nothing to spectacular about it really, though I quite enjoy the HD video function.
Here is a video I made up last year using the Kx (A few shots are from Brandon's Point and Shoot ). I had to really lower the quality to make it easier to work with and to edit, but I think it still turned out pretty good, video quality wise. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3L3Kc9C9YxM  (Also Vee, if your reading this, your in this video. Just FYI  Wink )
Since high school I've been a fan of Pentax for their ME series film SLR's, and I was quite pleased to get on of their digital cameras.

Kapitan: Thanks again dude, and your absolutely right about the skipping. XD

Its about that time for another photo update. I've got some stuff from recent adventures out into the wilderness, a float plane trip out to the west coast and some from our trip out to the Okanagan for FurBQ (Although most of my furbq shots were lost to an unfortunate tech mishap...). So lets get this going:

On the last day of FurBQ, Seph and myself decided we were going to drive back into town in style with breakfast sausages on our antennas.

The FurBQ canine companion whose name eludes me at the moment... >.>

Back at the highway where some of us parted ways. Thought the view was great!

Evening in the Okanagan Valley.

A lizard we came across one morning in the interior. Can't recall what it was exactly...

Took a drive up to the site where FurBQ 2008 was held. I recalled the turtles in the lake, and pulled over for a shot.

Some birds hanging out.

Swerved the Jeep almost off the road to avoid hitting this little western toad (Was fun, not going to lie). Had to get a shot.

Flying back from a work trip, under the wing span, you can see the town of Tofino.

Snapped a shot while out on patrol. After the recent storms, if I were to stand where I was, I would be in about 3 feet of water, and fighting to not get swept down river.

Recent hike up Mount Arrowsmith.

Dunno why I snapped this, but I enjoyed the outcome.

A spring-like meadow in the mountains.

Time to head down.

Kind of want to say "And now for something completely different" here. Its an action figure of Cortana from the Halo series.

Might have some more on the way, have to sift through a lot of pictures. ^^
As always, thanks for taking a peak!

Evening in the Okanagan Valley.
Oh man... stupid magical Okanagan. Cry

Great pics as usual, friend! The one of the wildflowers and snow contrasting like that is particularly wonderful.

Many thanks man! The Okanagan certainly is something else, and it was great to been among friends to enjoy it! :3

Just a small update. Haven't been out too much since moving to Nanaimo, though I'm hoping to change that soon. Wink

Beautiful morning sky from the inner Vancouver Island coast.

Shy snake hiding in the grass.

Long exposure of the Hot Springs on my last trip out there for the season. Such a magical place...

Playing with the on-board colour extraction filter.

The only good thing at Science World when we went a few weeks ago was this exhibit. Almsot everything else was closed off, including the cool wing with the beaver dam, bee's nest and hollow tree! At least it wasn't a total bust. ^^

My friends Surf Wagon on a surf trip last summer.

Was sitting in the cabin at Hot Spring Cove, enjoying the peace and quiet, and fiddling with my camera. I took the picture and after viewing it, it just kinda stuck.

Will have more soon. Thanks for viewing! :3

Beautiful shots, TJ!

Thanks.  Smiley

That little lizard is a Northern Alligator Lizard.  They live up around rocky areas in parts of the Okanagan (and elsewhere), and if you grab them and you're not careful, they'll drop their tails.

Some of those shots require one to sit a moment and just take it in.. That fire shot is captivating (something about fire makes the monkey brain in us go 'oooh.. pretty.'

That colour extraction photo is quite fascinating!  Almost looks natural in a bizzare, unnatural way.

The sausage shot made me laugh and remember.  Smiley  Mine was on for at least a few weeks.

It's shocking the amount and sheer vibrancy of flowers that come out in spring on mountainsides.

That shot of Brandon in front of the landscape creates a captivating feeling of smallness and wonder.  Makes one think about just where we fit into this huge, beautiful and vast planet.

Looking much forward to more adventuring with you sometime soon!  We've picked up a new camera as well; it also does HD video so we can get some good stuff at FurBQ.  Smiley

New pictures!

Just went to my first anime convention, mostly just for the fun of dressing up in my latest costume, though it was a lot of fun. Kinda regretting not taking my SLR. Oh well, always next year!
Also got some pictures from a practice sesh with a band our own Josiah plays in. So here we go!

Just a note, I didn't take the ones of me, though I was pretty stoked on my outfit, so I just wanted to show it off. ^^;

Wait a minute.. that's not you in fursuit, is it?

The Harley costume is fantastic... great character.  Which con was that?

We're heading to Sakuracon coming up pretty quick here.  Any interest in catching a ride out?

Josiah's looking charming, as usual.  Smiley
Not your usual picture quality intensity, but fun nonetheless!  Thanks for posting them.

Haha, no, I wish that was me in suit. XD

The con was Tsukinocon in Victoria, and I would love to go to Sakura if I had a passport.... And money. XD

I do apologize for the picture quality, Indoor low light shots just kill me. The ones from the con were taken on my phone. I did enjoy the opportunity of taking pictures of people playing at the practice sesh, and thought they were kinda fun. I haven't been able to get out as much as I used to unfortunately. Though when things pick up and I get the jeep back in tip top shape, I plan to spend as much time out in the back country as possible.

Thanks for looking! :3
