Nanaimo, Victoria meetup?

Right now, the VIFur meets that we were holding are impossible to continue in their traditional sense because our previous venue (which happened to be the most inexpensive and flexible venue in Nanaimo, as far as my research has confirmed) refuses to take us back due to a carpet malfunction. Apparently, something got into the carpet that was very difficult to remove, and while I've discussed with the owners the possibility of going back and offered to pay for the damage, they still won't have us. I think, honestly, they were looking for a reason to oust us. We caused issues the last few times we were there, they knew we were sleeping in the conference room which is apparently against the rules, and we offended some J'Witnesses. While I think most of that was BS, I can't really change the owners mind, so we're out on our asses. We didn't find out about this until after the summer, when we took a few months off to chill.

I tried to host a meet at our local bowling alley, at which less than six showed up. Pixel hosted a meet at his place, I don't know how that went because I was unable to attend. Since then, nothing has happened.

I'd love to see everyone get together, but the format of the previous meets was not a viable one. We've left it at that, and since I've gotten more involved in the Pawcast and other smaller endeavours. Anyone who wishes to host or attempt to host a meet, they have my support, but I don't think I'll be attempting it again in the near future. I'll be moving to Victoria in May, so perhaps something can get started down there with enough interest.
