Holy moose I cannot stand for this!!! Who do they think they are, coming into our painfully over-dramatic, overly-sexualized fandom and telling people positive things about us?! Preposterous, I say! Preposterous!

Next thing you know, people will be encouraging their kids to pose for photos with 'suiters. The humanity!

Now that we've had the Gen Y emo butthurt, it's time for some genuine Gen X nihilist angst response. Tongue
  Way to go for making me feel even more meaningless and forgotten than I already am!  My identity as a perpetual outsider due to my status as a participant in vile perversion is now seriously cracked!  I feel like the movement I've been part of has now been co-opted and, (as is always the way of things), is being commercialised.

  (wipes away a single, cynical tear)...

  It's just like when grunge got commercialised, I tell you!  When it was commercialised, it was all over.  When grunge was commercialised, ThreeDaysTheoryofaNickelCreed came on the scene, and everything that was good was gone.

0.o I..... I'm not sure what to say. I had always figured popular media was required to portray us furs as whacked out sex nuts. Seeing this I don't know what to think anymore. Perhaps this has something to do with 2012? A sign that the world will end and we're the only ones who see it!. Yes that's it, it has to be! Run, tell the people! Warn them!

Kidding aside I was a little shocked to see that. I don't really think it's a good thing but it's nice to see that, for once, they got their facts straight(ish).

Heh, heh.  I was wondering when that reference would come up again.  Always brings a smile  Smiley

Also, it was interesting that in the line "whether it's a bunny, wolf, donkey, or chipmunk', they mistook the white fox for a donkey.  Tongue

So.. all yiffy furs are Transformationists, apparently.

Not the most intelligent article out there, but compared to most quick televised blurbs about the fandom, they did do a fairly decent job of not making us look like total wierdos.

Good times. Good times...

Hey there, all;

Had a complaint about the recent comment, so I edited it to avoid further problems.

So far, the nicest depiction I've seen from a TV show on us awful furries. XD
Still not entirely 100% accurate, but 10 points for effort. :3

I was not expecting it to go well judging on the name of the segment.

:/ I'm pretty sure not ALL furries wear/have fursuits. Theres certain aspects of them that I'd personally like (ears, tail, paws :3) but I'm not full into a full fursuit. I agree we don't get seen in the best of lights, but I think that review from g4 is probably the nicest we'll get from any media form.

Actually, I've been thinking about doing some fursuiting...not that I'm a very good seamstress or anything, but I keep looking at it and thinking it would be fun! It would kind of get me out of my shy box, at least, and I would have a great excuse to go to a furcon or two!
