@gracewolf: been a few weeks and still no pics XD also, breathing life back into the thread.... anyone up for a movie night soonish? the bleh weather has kinda got me down so thought hitting up a new movie would be fun a LOT of good movies due out before the end of May, don't know about anyone else's preference of theatre or anything but mine is the Orchard Plaza 5 (mostly due to the fact I still have a free ticket there ) anyone got any they haven't (or have and want to see again with friends ^_^) seen or thats coming out soon? all the movie sites don't show much ahead in terms of whats playing, and many tend to change at the last second for coming soon titles (like Iron Man 2 which is currently listed at NO theatres, which is clearly unlikely due the fact its a big-freakin-production lol) anyways, just a thought...anyone else up for a movie? depending on the weather, theatre, and day it happens on (likely a weekend due to school goers etc) could do another picnic beforehand then head over for the movie Thoughts? P.S: is it just me or does anyone else REALLY want the forum emotes in IM-program sized availabilty? they look SOOO much better than the crappy default emotes on MSN, yahoo, etc...

Sorry for the late response!!
Yes shadow, that sounds amazing! There are a couple of issues, and comments i have to make though. First, yes, a weekend is almost nessassary. Second, if the meet is not in Penticton, the chances of me being able to go, are somewhat slim. The only way to get around this problem is if i had a ride To and From Kelowna, with someone my parents will likely be comfortable with. (IE, shnells parents, but i dont wanna feel like a begger xD) Third, i really dont know of many movies out that i would want to see... i mean, i could see Iron man 2 again, which was amazing BTW, so its really no big deal. Fourth, Depending on the weather, and the day, time etc, a picnic sounds like an amaizng idea!! o' course, all this will come in time.
Aproximate date on this event shadow? And who all might be able to go?

*facepaw* completely slipped my mind theres people in that 'under 18 category' when it comes to movies (likely due to most of the people that have been to the meetups thus far are older than that >_>) yes, picnic would be fun again and a much healthier alternative to icky burgers or barftacular pizza from a fast food joint imo (unless someones offering full cost of course  ) but that means everyone has to chip into that pot. as for date and approximate time? thats up to others more than me as everyone has different schedules...I wouldn't mind something *before* the end of May though, if its past the 19th I'd be SLIGHTLY more available to a different theatre (money is always tight unfortunately but if I can organize this event with others and get it off the ground, its more than worth it to create, even if I end up being short on cash...) Kick Ass (sorry, thats the name of the movie XD) is already watched by me, thats about the only recent in theatre movie I've seen (mentioning because others may have seen it or not etc etc) we need to keep this topic viewable on the main page if people are gonna post and see the idea to begin with  if stuff isn't organized pretty quick it'll be a no go for me for sure, if anyone wants to organize events besides me, I'd be overjoyed since I'm starting to run out of initiative X_X;

REPOSTED *casts phoenix down repeatedly on the thread* LIVE DAMN YOU! LIVE! anyways, I was wondering, anyone up for a Canada Day (kelowna) meetup? I know its cutting it close but a few people should be representin at canada day ya know? or would anyone be up to doing ANYTHING? theres a good bit of movies out in july and august that look interesting, we could do a picnic again or a scandia/bowling/etc meetup, whatever anyone really wants to do! ever since Mission Creek its like everyone gave up or something :| though I won't let that happen ^_^ so, ideas people? anything and everything, preferably as doable by as many people as possible though, the more the merrier! so cmon! show some damn Furkanagan pride ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- apparently I need to make a note that people that are clearly unable to attend any meetups should not bother posting in this thread >_>

I would love to do that! Alas, I work until 4 on Canada Day and my parents are gonna be gone, so unless I could get a ride up there and stuff, I won't be able to make it. >:

guh, the real point of the post was to see if anyone was interested in ANY future meets, and to hatch up plans ahead of time for said meets, the canada day thing was just a minor offshoot of the 'bigger picture' >_>
what works BEST for everyone and such for meetups and what might be good meetup ideas for the near future (July/August/Early September)

Actually, I'm planning on heading to Kelowna sometime relatively soon to visit Wula. Wouldn't mind making a furmeet of it. Will be within July/August sometime. I'll get something organized when we figure out a date. Would be lovely to see everyone again. Plus, Grace and I need to do some art jamming. (Aside from the usual fursuit tomfoolery, food,and what-have-you.) Cheers; -Sephren

indeed, if you and/or Wula are willing to gather up and stick an event of some kind etc together that would be awesome ^_^ just if ya do keep the info in regards to it as up to date as possible so as many people as possible can get involved, I remember when there was those furry game nights people from all over came out and we all had a kickass time

so now that summer is over, and people are back on a 'weekends only' basis kinda thing, does anyone want to have a meetup or something? I'm bored out of my head these days (okay maybe not THAT much, but I miss going out and doing stuff with other people >_>) and want to start these meetups back up @.@
I'll bump this a few times if it drops down before letting it die (which I would not be happy about given the past successes of this thread)

I won't be back in the Okanagan until after December, other than a drive-through on the way to Howl.
