Hey guys,

My new monitor (about 1.5 months old) is broken. D: The power, menu, e, auto, left and right buttons don't work! Luckily the monitor was powered on when it happened. So basically, my monitor is forever on and this isn't really a problem... But i'm moving soon and when I do, it probably won't turn on.

Any help, suggestions, etc?

It's really simple.......Obviously it's going to have to turn off at some time. Even if you weren't moving...What if the power went off?

The answer is simple: You're going to have to get a new one

I had this problem with a crt a few years ago. It threw it down some stairs and it fixed the button =P
But the SMART thing to do is bring it back to the store.

It's only a 30 day store warrenty and it's way past that. 1.5 months - about 45 days. There's a year manufacturing warrenty but i need my monitor and can't part without it for a month or so.

And shugo, i can't get a new one. why the hell would i make this thread if i already had an answer?

Thanks anyways guys.

I'm thinking about opening up the frame and seeing if any wires were split, but that's later. Tongue

Make sure you don't void the warranty or break it. At least that warranty is still an option.
btw if you need a monitor while it is gone you can get CRT's for 0-5$ these days =)
