Howloween 2009!

Ladyfurs and Gentlefurs,

It is with pleasure that I announce that your favorite gore-fes.... I mean, furry party event is coming back for another year at the Compass Point Inn in Surrey, BC!  We have secured our spot and will be almost identical in space to last year, where we saw 160 furs and had a great time together!

Date:  Saturday, November 7th, 2009
Time:  TBA, likely 10am Saturday to 1am Sunday with lunch & dinner movie breaks
Activities:  Fursuit games, DJ hosted dances, Party games (including game show mock-ups), fun and funny art contests, and anything YOU want to contribute!

We are still actively seeking people interested in hosting panels, games, or events, so if you have any desire to do this, and you have an idea that you think other people will enjoy, send us an email at info@howloween.ca and we'll be happy to get back to you!  There are no bad ideas!

Also, we are seeking anyfur who is willing to volunteer their time to helping the convention, including areas such as registration, security, setup, and audio/video mixing.  Every staffer gets a BIG hug and some goodies to go along with it!

Registration is at the door.  No pre-reg is available at this time.  Hotel rooms are available at a special event-only price of $89 by calling the host hotel, www.compasspointinn.com.  Cash bar will be available for those furs 19 and over.

Theres a big group from Port Alberni you need to watch out for... They have been know to sneak in and out of fur-meet hotel rooms... Get assaulted by random old people at Timmys, Have the cops phoned on them for suspected terrorist acts after trying to put mentos in diet coke....at 2am by some train tracks. And apparently they are not immune to bear spray, so keep that in mind.(Only a handful of people are going to understand this...so feel free to ignore me )

Did I just get profiled? I promise we won't bring that kind of attention to the mainland. There's just something about this town and furmeets. Well, and just furs in general, even though the kid with the bear mace couldn't have possibly known what we were. He was just spoiling for a chance to use his secret weapon. What an evening that was!

EDIT: I stand corrected. There's just something about the combo of myself and TJ-BlueVulpine. We're ALWAYS around when crap seems to go down.

You forgot, I think, to mention that they have the mystical ability of being able to wake an entire crowd of furs from a dead sleep by playing The Lion Sleeps Tonight, and are also able to have long, involved conversations containing absolutely no logic whatsoever.

Damn PA furs, really need to keep your eye on them.
