Heyah guys, so yeah the other day I was doing some maintenance on my computer. Pretty much all I did was blow it out with compressed air, and reconnect the sound card(because its been acting really weird the past while, just random bits of sound were skipping)

So I reconnect it all, turn it back on andd! Nothing... monitor isn't detecting any signal...computer seems to be booting(all the fans spin and it sounds normal, no beeps or anything), but at first I though it was a video card problem so I switched the video card with an older one...Same thing.

So yeah, pretty much heres a list of things I have tried.

Asus maximus extreme is the mobo im using

Removed all Ram(Would computer display POST if there is no ram?also Computer did not beep, but im not sure if my mobo has ever produced any sound other then speakers)
Swapped out both video cards(Two Radeon hd 3570)
Disconnected any unnecessary power consumers(Blue-ray drive and leds)
Checked nearly(If not all) connectors and jumpers

Also the mobo has leds all over it that tell the voltage levels for various parts are out of range(Green=good, red=bad pretty much) and they are all green so I dont think it is the power supply.

idk what else should I try?

Mm, so, if there's no RAM the computer would give an error code (3 beeps, I think) and stop mid-post, but it'd definitly be doing something. Also, all motherboards have some sort of beeper on 'em, but if speakers are detected, it gets put through them instead.

Other then RAM the next likely suspect is the video card, and since you ruled that out, it's either the CPU or the motherboard.

Unless you took the heat sink off the CPU, it should be fine.

Sounds like a dead motherboard to me :-o

I know it's a retarded question, but I need to ask, did any frozen CO2 get on the board?

Yeah thats what I figured with the ram :S its kinda odd that its not making any beeps at all...Hmmm :S

And yeah I was pretty careful with the CO2(as I have accidentally turned it upside down and sprayed it into the power supply before. Luckly there was no damage)

Also one thing is my Hard drives are in RAID 0 if I set up another mobo is there any way the data would still be salvageable?(Im pretty sure they aren't?)

The last thing to try is to really clean out your slots. You may have only shifted some of the dust deeper into the crack.

That is strange, a computer can boot without a cmos battery. I was going to suggest resetting the cmos since that often fixed problems like this. When you changed the battery it probably reset. Glad it is working though.
