Are you usually feeling the winter blahs by February?

Not anymore!

It's time to "Come Out Of Hibernation" and join us for Furnal Equinox, a convention taking place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in March 2010!

Toronto is one of the world’s most vibrantly multicultural cities; as Canada prepares to welcome the world next year for the Olympics in
Vancouver, we too are getting ready to open our doors and welcome the furry community around the world for a weekend of companionship, laughter, and hospitality. You’ll be able to indulge your competitive edge in our games room, or get involved in our fursuit competitions; if you’re less inclined to compete, feel free to watch or partake in any of our programming or recreational opportunities. Above all, though, we want you all to have a great time with us.

Our Guest of Honour also provides a distinctive Canadian flavour; Heather Bruton has enjoyed a career of over thirty years as an
illustrator within the science fiction and fantasy genres, as well as a skillful wildlife artist. She has also been the subject of much
critical acclaim among the furry fandom; in addition to being a guest of honour at Anthrocon in 2002, she received Ursa Major Award
nominations in the category of "Best Anthropomorphic Published Illustration" in 2007 and 2008 (their logo is even designed by her).
We're fortunate to have such an illustrious artist as Heather on board; you can find some of her work at heatherbruton.com, as well as on FurAffinity as hbruton.

Want to know more about this event? Join our community at furnalequinox.com - you'll be able to sign up for e-mail updates as we get ready to accept registrations and provide further announcements on programming and accommodations. You can also register for our forums and get to know other furries interested in our event, as well as our staff members… or even help us out!

If you're attending Anthrocon, keep an eye out for our staff on the convention floor and feel free to ask them any questions! We'll also
be hosting a room party / information session; check the message board at the con for further details.

See you at the Equinox!

I am so going to be there!

And it will be awesome.

I've never been to a furry con, meeting, camp, or anything of the sort before, so this'll be my first time, and I'm excited!

Since making our initial announcement in early July, Furnal Equinox's convention committee has been hard at work, moving well into the planning of Toronto, Canada's first furry convention. Many have asked about when a specific date and venue will be announced; at this point we're ready to answer that burning question...

Furnal Equinox will take place on March 6 and 7, 2010 (Saturday morning until the wee hours of Monday morning) at the Doubletree Hotel in Toronto!

Our host facility – the Doubletree by Hilton – is a full-service hotel and conference centre with over 400 guest rooms and amenities such as five on-site restaurants (plus several nearby!), wireless internet, fitness facility, and an indoor water park for hotel guests. It is easily accessible by car, public transportation, and offers free shuttle service from Pearson International Airport. They also have a great deal of event experience with fan conventions like Anime North, Polaris / Toronto Trek, and TFCon Toronto.

We are also proud to announce that preregistration for Furnal Equinox is now open! For only $25 Canadian, you'll have an open invitation to a weekend of round-the-clock furry games, entertainment, and fun. You can preregister right now on our website, but don't delay too long; this special rate only lasts a few months...

Furnal Equinox staff will be present at Camp Feral! in Algonquin Park at the end of August to answer any questions that you may have about our event in person.

Finally, don't forget to visit our website at http://www.furnalequinox.com to keep informed about the latest updates on our convention, and join our forums to connect with prospective con-goers!
