Alright! We have a rough Schedule up on the site, let us know what you think, as there is still time to make changes. We are also announcing the proposed date for the event, which is August 14-16th, 2009. This weekend is purfect as it does not conflict with the VI Fur Meet, VAF Fur Meet or any cons going on. Plus there are no holidays to conflict with either. Tell me what you think guys. However, don't take the time off yet, as we still need to make the reservation at the location. We will let you guys know ASAP when the date is confirmed. Thanks Everyone!

Okay. We have a site reserved at Green Point Campsite. The website has been updated with directions, rules, and a neat video from our adventure to Tofino. The video also shows the spot where Island FurBQ will be happening.
The date for the event will be August 15th-17th. So start thinking about making plans and Pre-Registering. There are 20 spots still open, and the sooner you Pre-Register, the sooner our Con Badge artist can make them up. That way we do not swamp her at last minute.

Ok so by this time I should have my car back up and running so I can bring a few people from Victoria with me.
I might have one of my non-furry friends come with me so I can carry Pixel and 1 other in the car. There's 4 seats.

I'm offering to do free badges to people who want them. I can't promise they'll be amazing or anything, but they're free. I need the practice. Examples of Rhe, Tonk, and Lorelli can be found on my FA page. Link is in my forum profile. They'd be drawn and colored traditionally, though. |

I just got my -wicked huge- load of camping equipment from home. Huge tent, tarp, chair, lantern, etc. It's a 5-man tent, I will be offering -emergency room only,- as I have a -lot- of my gear to store in my tent.

*Purrrs* The badges are looking smooth so far.  You can only get them if you pre-reg, though, so make sure to do that if you're planning on coming. I actually dropped one of my three jobs, so it seems I do have more free time this year, and we'll be doing our best to head down. We still won't be putting on the BC FurBQ this year, but we'll certainly be aiming to hit this one. I'm offering to do free badges to people who want them. I can't promise they'll be amazing or anything, but they're free. I need the practice. Well that's groovy; we'll certainly take one of those if you're offering to do them. Don't feel like you need to, though; I've got the badge sector fairly well covered over here. (And they're free, too, with the pre-reg.) It seems the event is really starting to take shape. Thanks again to everyone thats helping to make this work, you guys and gals are awesome!!
I'm working on an agenda to bring to the VI Fur meet, and we'll be having a staff meeting, so that we may discuss, and figure things out as a team.
Other then that, just a friendly reminder to start thinking about Pre-Registration. It ends July 10th, and you'll not only have a secured spot, but also a neat-o con-badge! Woo!!
