http://www.rainfurrest.org/2009/index.phpWas wondering if there are any Vancouver Island furs interested in going down to RainFurrest in Seattle. Dates this year are September 18-20. This would be my first con; I've been trying to find a con far enough in the future for me to get money and things sorted out, and this looks promising. I'll probably have two or three extra spaces in the car (depends on how friendly the back seat occupants want to be) and a huge trunk, so space for stuff isn't a concern. If each fur could shoot me $10-20 for gas I would totally love that, but it's not totally necessary if you're short on cash. And yeah, I suppose this is a wee bit in advance. I'd like to get started on a plan now instead of later, however. That way nobody has issues with work (like me), monies, and the like.

I might actually be able to manage to make it out to this. It'd be my first con, too (well, furry-related, at least). :3 Given that I live in the Okanagan, though, I'll probably be finding my own way down. Just wish that the theme wasn't zombies... *shudder*

If you could find a way down to Vancouver, we could hook up with you and take you down to Seattle and back. I would totally be cool with that. Not a big fan of the legions of the undead hey? I'm curious to see how zombies and furries go together, but then again I'm not scared of them either.

Hmm... perhaps I'll look into bussing down, then. We'll see, I suppose. I'm a zombiephobe, so they make me uncomfortable to say the least, but I do want to see how they play with the theme (phobia masochism maybe?). Ah well, 'least I'm not afraid of mustard or something.

I would love to get to RainFurrest, but I money may be tight in September, I'll have to check the finacial situation, plus get a passport. But if all is well, then I'll totaly go!! :3

You can nix the passport if you go and get a new BCDL, the white ones. Apparently we have a deal with the Americans that our new "more secure" DLs are acceptable without a passport. Might be easier than going through passport hell. Financial situation = me as well. School will be starting up by that point, and unless I'm unable to go for some unforeseen reason, I'll have to work it around my school schedule.

It would be amazing if I could get down to RainFurrest this year, but I'll have to see how finances are, and how work is going.
I do really want to partake, though!

I'd also like to go, but pretty much the same deal as everyone else, financial issues. xD If I can though, it'd be awesome to go with you, Drew. We'll just have to see how things go once it gets closer to the date.
