Decided to try making bookmarks. Think they look pretty good. Really hard to find poses to fit into a long rectangle though. Tried inking the last one 1st, think it looks abit better then just pencil outlining?
Note: They are naked because they are wearing FUR, just wanted to point that out...

Willing to make other people some for a few $, can even laminate them if a few want them.

They are interesting, and the brightness of the colours makes them eye-catching.  Good job on the paws of the third, and the tails of all three.  The fur texture there, especially on the end of the rainbow tail, is quite effective.

My advice, though, would not be to start selling at this point.  I see many artists who start trying to sell very early, and they sometimes end up growing an 'artistic ego' that doesn't fit them well.  I would suggest taking your time, mabye working a bit on anatomy and colouring techniques, and then trying to sell if that's what you aspire to, once you've got a solid technique down pat.

Bookmarks are always a neat idea; small canvasses create some interesting poses and hone your fine detail skills.  Keep it up and you'll be in the market in no time, if that's what you aim for.

Cheers,

Well, I was just hoping to make a few bucks, like $3 off them. Finishing college soon, so not gonna have any time for art or anything else but getting a home & job, so be nice to make a few bucks & make a few people happy with cheap, pretty art.

Thanks for the compliments though.
Trying to learn anatomy, but so hard to find books on furry stuff, have to mix anime/nature pics & me in a mirror usually.

I like the eye-catching colours! That'd be handy for me, I always end up losing my bookmarks one way or another.

Mind you, I havn't done any really heavy reading lately. Time to hit up indigo and go on a book-buying spree  Smiley

Looking good. :3 I agree about the colours really making them stand out.
If you want some good anatomy references, I know there are a few places online that offer 3D images of poses from different angles for free. If you can't seem to find any, let me know and I'll see if I can't dig up a link to the one I'm thinking of.
I love seeing bookmark art since it allows for a lot of different ways to play with the presentation. If you want to try a style that doesn't require thinking up poses that can fit in a rectangle, you could always do a sort of mosaic, where you draw a much larger image and then break it up into several bookmarks. I've seen this technique done in several ways, depending on if you want to focus on a specific character for each, the entire scene, etc. It's kind of cool because you can tell someone's there or something's happening just beyond the frame. Of course, you seem to be off to a good start with finding ways to fit characters into the frame if you'd prefer to stick to using one style.

Made some new bookmarks with random cheetah gal & my mom as a white persian(cause she asked). Found a great backing for them at a scrapbook place, its carboard with a faux leather look. Think I might leave them like that or laminate over it....
