Gah, i have been trying to get this to work for a wile now, i have been a bit lazy, but does anyone know why i might be having issues getting a vent server to run properly on my vista machine? for the life of me i cant get it to work, its been a wile since i tried but if i remember correctly i was not able to get the IP, or something dumb like that, so if anyone has any experience in this help would be greatly appreciated!

It's not hard to make a Static IP. I did it for my 360 along with forwarding the ports to make my live lag-free.  Err, wait. Well I don't know how to make a static ip for your PC/Laptop, but it shouldn't be hard.

Find a tut if you're interesting. ^_^

wow lol that would drive me crazy. Perhaps you could set up a DMZ for your comp, that means it will open all ports ect. for a single computer on the network without effecting the others.
