I checked and i could not find any on both =/
I don't think he was referring to coolers, but just the fans themselves. You would have to open your laptop and see what kinda room you have. idk if they would be refereded to as laptop fans or not...

Holy hell, I found something better yet.

DO WANT. Seriously. The RAM in this thing keeps my left paw just -blazing- during keystrokes. Other than that, I'd be so happy.

Thats not a cooler sadly, if anything that well make your laptop feel hotter because it well redirect the heat off the ram itself onto the surrounding components.

My ram's actually WAY further off than anything else.

plus, it'll at least reduce the time it takes to go from normal to HOLY HELL HOT. It's a resistance measure. >.>

What kind of ram are you running? I have never had ram even close to hot in a laptop.

Ooooh. Thanks, tonk. NCIX is a wee more reliable than the other place. Also, I should look for something to cool the hard drive. Thing gets -warm,- man.

The Penryn C2D doesn't put out a lot of heat, even when I've got half a dozen programs plus VMWare and Windows XP running on my MacBook, so I find the stock fan control to be pretty efficient. I use a case on my 'Book to lessen the transfer of heat to my legs, and to protect the machine while it's not at my desk, and that seems to work too. I did play with FanControl for a little while, trying higher default fan speeds and such, but doubling the fan speed only brought the idle temperature down to 48 from 52 degrees, and added more noise and less battery life to the equation.

If it gets too warm, the fans crank up and the system pretty much takes care of itself. Not like the old days. *grins* I could tell you some stories about Pentium IIIs.
