Hey guys!
The server that runs
my furry sites has become overloaded since the launch of
YI's new audio and video service. Thus, I've been forced to upgrade my colocation package to a half cabinet. This costs way more than I can afford and leaves me with a tonne of empty space. In order to make up for the cost I'm trying to find 'roomates', the more roomates I have the less it will cost everyone. So far I have two people signed on and when we get one more the cost goes down to $65/mo per server. When we get four more it drops to $50.
Servers can be 1 or 2U, and redundant power supplies are welcome on the bar but will not be put on a separate UPS.
What you get:
- 100mbit/s busrtable up and down
- 1mbit/s 95th percentile transit ($13 per extra meg)
- 1 public IP address
- DPI intrustion prevention system at the router
- 24/7 access swipe card
The address space is portable and the upstream routers are configured to failover to one of 7 peers.
I have one spare Sun Netra left that I will loan to someone for free. It can be loaded with your choice of Solaris or Gentoo.
Hope there's some interest out there, thanks for listening! ^.^
