I had that for awhile, too.  It was just from one user, and I believe also that they had a virus.  I eventually just deleted them from my contact list, and the problem went away.  Mabye if you did that, then re-added them, it might not be a problem.

Ah.. did you try blocking them, too?  (If not, you can re-add them and then block/delete them.

Just update to the newest version of Windows Live Messenger. Sharing folders no longer exists in the new versions of Messenger.

Also, iirc, the Messenger versions that do have Sharing Folders have an option to disable that feature entirely. It'll be in your Messenger options somewhere I believe.
