Its occurred to me that mashing up that word into Kelowna or Westbank or Okanagan isn't exactly easy Better suggestions of what to call it are appreciated XD ----- Agenda: Nov 29th/ 30th: Grand 10 Cinema: Bolt! ( sans 3D) @ 1:30PM Attendance: Shnell, Wula, DV, Jax, Kristen Dec 27th/28th: None Attendance: Jan 24th/15th: None Attendance: Feb 28th/March 1st: None Attendance: March 28th/29th: None Attendance: ----- Why? : In an effort to help Shnell out here with getting a bunch of furs around this vicinity to do Monthly activities as Meet n' Greets ive created this topic to allow for Brainstorming and general topic discussion on this Okanagan Phenomenon. When? : I figure a ritual of "Last Weekend of the Month" would be suffice. This means everyone has upwards of 28 days to prepare for the next one. Saturday and Sunday can be debated freely as its apparent some are more viable than others. Such as this ones Saturday would be Boxing Day. Hectic!! Who? : Anyone actually. Be you from the Okanagan or your visiting from the east, it doens't even matter if you visiting from Germany, if your in the Okanagan vicinity around the time of the activity, feel free to invite yourself, just please remember that RSVPing is probably going to be necessary for a few things. But thats simple, just say you'll show up, and headcounting will help in prep. What? : The ultimate question! Everything from grabbing a slice at Boston Pizza, to Movie Nights, to Seasonal Activities, nothing is really off limits. With the exception of going to the bar as some may be underage. Activities should be kept fairly cheap though, when making your suggestion please try to remember not all of us are sitting on bags of stockpiled cash money. How much $$$?: Everythings gotta be money with you doesn't it? Actually this is variable, depending on the activity. The estimated value needed to partake in the activity will be broadcasted well in advance. Though generally itll be kept fairly cheap. A movie + food will cost about $20, for instance. Ill never be able to make a Weekend : Believe me i understand having work on the weekends as a regular thing. one thing always up for discussion is Time. Please let it be known that if you COULD make it, what time would be the most useful. If your shift is beyond 8 hours long one of us can provide a number for the WCB ;P ---- With that being said: DISCUSS!!! Signed: Your friendly neighborhood coyote, DV

Wagh, I haven't posted anything in ages (because I'm terrible and even procrastinate things I enjoy). Also, I suppose I'm sort of resurrecting this thread, but it makes sense to do so, sooo...
Anyway, I work all day on Saturday/Sunday, so weekend meets aren't an option to me. However, I have my reading break from Feb. 14 - 22. Would anyone be up for an impromptu meet for some random, enjoyable activity? It would have to be during the week, but anytime would work; we could do mini-golf or hit the arcade or even hang around someone's house playing board games and what-have-you.

I'm also home for the break. Wouldn't mind getting together with the crew for some hangouts. : )

Bowling could be fun. I know there's a deal for it on Wednesday nights. If anyone's on a budget, we could do something cheap or freeish earlier on and then move on to bowling or mini golf or something.
What times do you work, Jax? Mornings, afternoons...?
Wula, if you're not too far out of the way, I may be able to pick you up depending on the time (I have limited vehicle access). Whereabouts would you happen to be?

Aw, Jax, that's why I'll never work at a gas station (I've never heard an overly-positive second-hand account). We'll just have to try for something earlier in the day or aim for one of your days off.
Wula, I shouldn't have any trouble picking you up at all. I live up Springfield, right on South Rutland. Or, if I don't have a vehicle, we can at least bus it together. ^^;;

Ooh, lazer bowling would be snazzy.
Okay, so who would be up for a meet on Tuesday afternoon/evening or Wednesday morning/noonish? That would allow Jax to come and we would have time for a couple different activities (say, tea or something and general hang-outery followed by bowling later on).
If not, what times work/don't work at all for everyone? Personally, I'm unavailable on weekends because of work (this also means no late Fridays, since I work early on Saturdays) and for 3 hours between 8:30am and 5pm on Tuesday, and 3.5 hours on Thursday (these are flexible shifts, so I just need to be in during opening hours for the alloted time). Otherwise, I should be fine.

I actually think Furkanagan doens't sound too bad. Although Kewegan is a good mashup, anyone outside the ones in this thread that might otherwise recognise Furkanagan wouldn't know what to make of the location for Kewegan. 1:00 on Tuesday sounds good, as long as it works for most everyone else. Are we thinking Penticton for a good middle location? The big question is: Do we have a house we can chill at? We could even do pizza and a movie later on, if people are into it. I have both a wolverine and a tribal bear suit for anyone who wants to give suiting a try. .. Might want to bring your sketchbooks.

next tuesday or this tuesday? If so we need a car to pick up a couple people. Also how much cash should we bring with us, cause im also working for plans on a fur meet in pen or kelowna, that me and shanelle were talking it over and we thought bowling would be fun, so im gonna have my plans for that (( and yes it will be a fursuit bowling if you wanted...)) But yes cause Wula, and Myself have no way out there since wula wont be able to drive, and i choose never to drive tehehe. But yes, most definatly well try to make this work

It'd have to be this Tuesday, since it's the week universities and colleges give us off.
One on Tuesday sounds good. I'm afraid I'm in the same boat as Wula and Jax, though. At least, until 3, provided no one at my house needs to go anywhere. ;;;

Weekdays work for me as long as they're in Penticton XD; I'm 15 so I can't drive (yet) and I have school until 3, so I'm kind of limited. P: but yeahh. Weekends work for me for anywhere else, but thats kind of inconvenient for Gracewolf because she has work on weekends, so yeah. So I'll just tag along on these events when my schedule allows me to do so. (:

Mm.. I'll have to pass for today. Looks like we're heading to the hospital. (So, technically I AM in Kelowna, but not actually able to do much visiting.)
.. We'll catch you sometime, though. Hm..

I'm I won't be able to make it either (or I'll be incredibly late) today. I have to work this afternoon rather in the morning like I planned, so I won't make it anywhere until 5 or 6. I certainly don't object to later activities, though, if someone wants to hit up the arcade or something.
