I think its because many furries are more open people. We don't judge as much as say non-furries, we let people be and do what they want, any animal is excepted.

Male, heterosexual =P At times it can definitely feel like the furry community is dominated by homosexual males (especially in the furry art scene), but most polls seem to show that no sexuality seems over-represented
